Uncomfyness is kicking in @ night for me as well, sleep well but are very sore when i wake up, and eina to turn allready...and i still got 2months to go. Can't believe some of u are at your end.

Chris- try the heat packs on your boobs hun! I know the feeling you're talking about, it's like an engorgement pain, it's a pressure/burning pain. I feel for you butb be prepared to feel this pain again around day 3 when your milk comes in! Your boss is a **** in all honesty, but if he has been issued with a sick note from your Dr he has no choice but to pay you sick leave which should be full pay.

Asp- I'm glad you're still sleeping well, I slept really well when I was preg with C, even toilet trips didn't bother me but this time the aches and pains are too much. I must say though it's not the tweenies waking me with movemts, it's just the aches and pains that come from laying on one side too long. And the heavy breathing because they fill my ribcage when I lay down and don't leave much space for the lungs to expand.

My appointment has been moved from friday to monday 29th which is only the next working day but it's a whole weekend to wait longer I was already counting down 1 week to my next app, oh well not much one can do, when Dr has other plans one must just accomodate the changes.

We are having KFC tonight because the KFC we had on Sunday was under cooked and I complained so they called to offer a free replacement so I thought it's friday, I don't feel like cooking so we'll take advantage of that tonight.

Chan- I had C circumcised after the birth. If your baby is big enough when born so a normal healthy baby not prem then you can have it done the day after the birth whilst you and baby are still in hospital. What you need to do is ask the ward sister to organise a circumcision for your boy and the urologist should come and visit you, he'll give you the whole speech about why you're doing it are you sure blah blah blah. They will take Kade into theatre, he'll only be gone about an hour, they'll give him a local anesthetic for the op. I won't lie to you, it's sore for the baby but they are so small it heals super quick. I was allowed to give C 1ml of panado every 4hrs and 4 days later I had to visit the urologist so he could check the healing. Before even the end of C's first week it was healed perfectly. Because you and baby are still 'admitted' at the hospital you save re admission fees but you still have to pay urologist and theatre fees. I think it was about R1200 for C's but that was 2 years ago. We will have the tweenies done too but they will likely be too small so we will have to have them admitted when they're big enough. But we really want to get it done in the first 3m before they start pulling or grabbing down their because that will not help the healing.

Chris, I am not sure who my SIL's dr is - they stay in Pretoria - we are going thru on Sunday. They did go to the dr today and they want to run more tests on Monday / Tuesday and based on the results they will take it from there. My brother sounds very positive which is great!!!!

Yvette - sjoe, you like driving he? Just take it easy - let your boss drive you around!!!

MommyN - good luck for you DH for Sunday. I love the cooler weather that we have now in J'burg - makes it a bit more bearable.

Chris - I hope your boss sees the light - bedrest is sick leave and not ML. My boss still asks me every single day how long am I taking ML? Well, if it was 4 months on Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday - I think it will still be 4 months. Bosses

I think I better start packing our bags this weekend. I can just imagine DH running around looking for things.

Aspoestertjie - I had to read your message twice - the part where you say " I wanted to push my LG on a shooter Daddy brought home, and nearly threw my back out" - I thought that must have been one hell of a shooter!!!!!! Then I realise what you meant - shame man - you must be careful. And remember your next shooter might very well through your back out!!!!

I am also sleeping like a baby - last night I went to bed at 20:30, woke up at 12:00 saw I still had time to sleep and went back to sleep. Woke up this morning at 05:15 when my alarm went off. Every morning when the alarm goes off Inge starts moving around - during the night she sleeps - love my child - just hope that this will last!!!!!!!!

Shame, so sorry to hear how everyone is starting to suffer from pains and aches. I am still really lucky and not struggling that much. Although, last night I wanted to push my LG on a shooter Daddy brought home, and nearly threw my back out. She almost fell of the scooter as I tried to save my back. It was actually quite funny, but really sore. It is better now though.

That is the only real pains I am getting at the moment, when I do funny positions like bend over etc. Otherwise, if I manage to control myself, I feel fine.

And man, I sleep well, although I wake up every morning around 03h00 and is fully rested. Then I bully myself to go back to sleep. Sorry to all the girls who struggle to sleep! Cannot image how tired you must feel.

I am having EXTREME movement some days from Adriaan. Is it silly to wonder if anything is wrong due to too much movement?? Oi, we Mommy's are never ever satisfied, are we?

Chan, the going off early might be a good idea. Try and ask your dr to book you off as you are struggling with your back etc. Dr should do that, can't see any problems with that.

Chris i'm glad you're feeling a bit better today! Don't let your boss get away with taking your bedrest as part of your maternity leave. Bosses piss me off so badly you have no idea! I was also thinking of asking my gynae to book me off from the end of Nov because I can't take this backache anymore. It would mean I go off 10 days early - Wow!! Not sure if he will though?

MommyN I also had a little moment this morning not believing it's almost our time! Gosh time's moving so fast at the moment.

Just a question.... is anyone circumcising their little boys? Sorry i'm clueless about this. Does anyone know when they do it and how much it costs more or less?

I really think I should pack my hospital bag this weekend! Kade's is packed but I haven't done mine yet. Need to check that i've got everything I need as well!

Yvette you must be dead after all that driving! Gosh I drive Kyra to swimming lessons and i'm finished after that - and it's 10 minutes from my house! hahaha

Hope everyone else is feeling as good as can be expected! Kyra and I are home alone tonight as hubby has just left for Joburg for their Xmas function tonight. Kyra's ordered pizza, pj's and wants to watch the bachelor in bed! Such a little madam already!

Yvette, aren't you uncomfortable driving so much?? Doesn't your back hurt? You're brave girl and should start taking it easy with the driving, I mean 5.5hr is almost a full day of driving!
We booked a bed, but haven't set a date, dr said to us that we now wait for 30w, and after that wait til 32 and see if we can get to 34w, so I think he is just leaving them in for as long as possible and not just taking them out until babies decide to come.

MommyN, how are you feeling? You are sounding much better! Has the meds helped you?

So I was so sor eyesterday that when DH came home from work and asked how I was I just burst into tears, shame, he was so worried, made me phone the doc (which I didmn't want to do cos Im sure it was just some stretchng or something) anyway DH sat until I phoned the dr, he suggested I go to the hospital to make sure everything was fine with the babies etc, but I know babies were fine cos I could still feel movement and wasn't in any pain down below, so I didn't go. I had a shower and sat on the floor with the water hitting my chest, it helped my pain as Im not sore "there" today but my boobs are still sore, they're very tender, but like I said to dh, I think I had really bearable breast pain in the beginning for like a week only and never again, but now I feel it, ouch!

Maryke, how are yours doing?

Oh yes, have to tell you, remember I told you what my boss said about bedrest being maternity leave? Which it isn't, anyway, I asked my dr for a certificate for the besrest starting from the 8 Nov, expecting they would put bedrest from and till dates, they put strict bedrest from the 8th until delivery of the babies, hehe, I just need to send it to my boss, Im waiting for end of the month as I am still working from home (to the best of my ability and capacity), so Im curious to see what he is paying me.

Vix, my MIL said that my body is preparing me for sleepless nights, but I said to her, yes, gettig up to go to the loo is unerstandable (I went 4 times last night), but not sleeping because you are sore and cant turn over and what have you is another sorry.

Sterretjie, which Dr is your SIL seeing, hope she will have som eanswers as to what they must do soon.

Wow, it just hit me, I was looking at the November 2010 thread and there are pics of the little babas... our group is next! And its close!!!! Shjoe!!!! I then took out a packet of flour (to make banana muffins yummy) and it weighs 2,5kg.... Missy was so small (2,3kg) and came home at 2kg - less than the packet of flour!!! I cant imagine having my little bundle of joy being so small! Yes, you just get used to it, but Missy is still small, but strong and able! I picked her up by her one arm yesterday to prevent her from tripping at the door, you know how you do... with a newborn you have to hold the neck etc etc... its just so overwhelming!!! Panic!!! No, not really, I never knew anything when Missy came and it came naturally, but this time round, I know what to expect.... wow wow wow!

My friend is booked for a caesar on 4 Jan and she is starting to panic as to get things ready. So now I must also get my b-hind into gear and do something.... next week.

Chris - how are things going today? Hope you got some rest. Hope you can find some peace for a little while longer, every day or week at home, means less time in hospital and the value is just so big!

Maryke - how was the photoshoot? How are you today? You know, when I read about your boobs, my one one had a tiny pin-like pain... weird how our mind works. I am sure it is all normal, but maybe speak to your Dr. I know you are soooo tired, but everyday helps your little ones!

Vix - have you been a bit more comfortable? The rain has been lovely and cool, but I know C gets frustrated being inside. I finding sitting at the table more comfortable than sitting on the couch. But in the evening I just cant get comfortable and then in bed, it seems so much worse. Then in the mornings it seems all ok and I am back on track... that also prepares you for those nights when a sleepless baby seems worse at 2am than 2pm!

Yvette, it is tiring being pregnant. With my first pregnancy DH couldnt understand why I fell asleep when he got home at 6pm, and that was in the first trimester and once I just slept for the whole weekend! He thought I was sick! But with this prgnancy, he doesnt even comment - knows better! Of course, men will never really understand and its difficult to explain just how tired you really are. Its not from mowing the lawn, or putting up shelves or something, you are just tired all the time.

Chan, Asp, Carmen, and everyone else, hope you are all well! Hope the cooler weather in Gauteng helps those ankles and that we can all relax over the weekend, yeh right! DH doing 94.7 cycle challenge and I said its no point in Missy and I schlepping out there but now I feel guilty not going, so I'll take him and then go in the afternoon again. Hope he makes it, he hasnt trained much but loves a physical challenge! Crazy!
