MommyN- i am a big believer that iron plays a huge roll in TTC, i suffer a really low iron levels so i can only give blood twice a year max and both times i fell pregnant i was able to give blood those months which means my iron was higher than usual!

Marie r- wow saturday, you must be so excited for that! xxxxxx

I am on FB Vickie Whitehead, i have a similar profile pic to the one here except it's in colour and my boy is wearing an orange shirt.

My belly is itching and i don't 'think' it's from the growth i KNOW it is, it's like i can feel my tummy grow, every morning when i wake up it's got bigger LOL

Hi Mommies!

With last pregnancy ended up taking so many vitamin supplements that I had a box to put it all in. Multivit, folic acid (been on that for 4 years of TTC), calcium, mag, omega this and that, I can't even remember all. Oh, I was on iron to help me fall prgnant, my Gynae then who also specialises in fertility would not do anything until I had been on iron for 6 months. My new gynae recommended PregaOmega PLUS - its not cheap - R150 per month, but the plus has a Calcium tablet too, so that is all I take! It has enough folic acid, enough iron, the omega oils for baby's development etc etc. Works out cheaper than individual things. So far, I am ok. Last time I had to be careful when I took the vitamin bec I tended to feel queasy, but I've always had that problem with vitamins. So I try to take them after a meal. So far I am really impressed with this all-in-one vitamin. You take 3 different tabs per day, vitamin, omega and calcium. Remember, certain vitamins need other vitamins to be absorbed properly.

Personally, if you are healthy and eating correctly, you probably dont need much in supplements, but with me I think my body will take strain because LG is only 11 months old and the BF also took it all out of me.

I will defnitely get a picture of our LO at our next Gynae visit. Come on 7th Sept. I keep telling DH to remember the date and that he will be late to get to work that day! He reminds me that I have told him a million times already! It will be our first pic as I didnt have a dvd with last time.

Is anyone else experiencing itching? I wouldn't have mentioned it, but I got an email yesterday and it said one of the things to watch out for is itching during pregnancy. Strange... I have been itching for a few weeks now, and thought it was just winter skin and that. Last time I remember my belly used to itch from the growing, but now I am itchy all over, maybe I am growing all over?

Its going to be a quiet Thursday for me and LG.

Enjoy your day!!!

Morning mommies!

I am using Rennies when the indegestion gets bad, Can't stomach Gaviscon liquid and rennies are cheaper than Gaviscon tabs.

Chris- maybe you should speak to your gynae and ask if you need to take iron supplements. My gynae was so insistant but also I suffer from extremely low BP and at my last C/S I went as low as 70/40 which is pretty damn bad so maybe his plan is to make sure my body is in peak condition? I don't know.

MommyN- even with my fat tummy and knowing since day 1 that I'm pregnant I still have hours where I forget about it, I think because with your first one you have no other distractions and you constantly worry about what to expect, this time I am so relaxed about it and have a monster to keep me busy. How great that you found out so late, now you have just the best bits to wait out. Are you feeling movement yet?

Chris- I must say until now I have hardly felt muscle puls but I'm getting close to as big as I was full term with C so I'm sure it'll start soon. I am lead to believe you're pretty tall too so maybe that's why you're carrying nice and neat, and hopefully you won't get too big your body suffers because those 3 are just gonna keep on growing nice and big!

O.k I have work to do so must stop gas bagging. Anyone who has new appointment dates please pot today and I will update tomorrow.

Jess- I hope you find it's a boy at your next appointment.

Someone has an appointment today, just can't remember who.........

I was told Rennies and Eno's were safe during pregnancy. I kind of alternated betw Rennies, Eno's and Gaviscon during forst pregnancy because I REALLY suffered with heartburn. Luckily no MS though. I found I got used to one of them, and then swopped to another. Tums, or EnoTums are also great to carry in your handbag. But this time round, I have found some homepathic thing that I want to try. Else a nice cold strawberry milk shake normally sorts me out... Someone also told me Rennies, TUms and Gaviscon are great calcum supplements - but dont take my word on this!

Other than that, hope everyone is ok?

This morning I actually almost "forgot" I was pregnant, then at around 10am I "remembered". Is this a bad thing? Could be because I am so busy with my almost 1 year old and not really showing much. ANyway, I only found out I was preggies at 18 weeks... and am now 20 weeks (almost)... yay... half way! Bet the second half is going to go A LOT SLOWER than the first half!

Anyways, have a great evening to you all!
