Jan/Feb 2011 Mommies (Nov & Dec 2010 early babes)

SexyHexy- i really thought that having 2 babies in there and being a second pregnancy that i would feel movement really early but to be honest I'm going to say it was only 16w when i felt a little bit of pushing on the one side. Only now this past week or 2 can i honestly say i feel them every day and a few times a day.

Try not to worry, i think everyone is different but also if the placenta is laying towards the front it will cushion a lot of movement.

Generally it feels like a little finger poking me in the belly for a second and then it's gone but last night i laid back on the sofa and it felt quite a bit stronger.

Vix, I was wondering about movement last night...when did you start feeling it for sure?

I'm so afraid there is something wrong with the babies Not really feeling anything, not really have a tummy yet....grrr....and still 3weeks to go before I see gynie Am I just being paranoid?

Sterretjie- OH NO! I'm sorry you can't see the sex yet, maybe you should go for a 4D scan?

MommyN- i am on a hospital plan so i expected to pay for all my consultations anyways so now all the money I'll get back for 9 consults will pay for the extra scans so not too worried. I went my whole last pregnancy without paying for 1 single scan so i can't really complain besides my gynae saves me a lot of money by doing the downs and FA scans himself and not charging me so........ to pay for 3 scans my whole pregnancy is really not the end of the world!

Besides, nothing i can do about it, i won't change my gynae for anyone so it's worth paying the scans.

DH felt one of the babies kicking last night, finally a decent kick for Daddy, but from what I'm feeling now I'm actually really not looking forward to 2 babies kicking at 30+w!

You are all making me think maybe I should find out the sex of LO... we had decided to keep it a secret... but DH said if I find out I am NOT allowed to tell him... so what help is that... anyway, my LG was a surpirse, so I have everything unisex anyway!

Shame Sterretjie! 28 weeks is quite far... keep it a secret then!

I never heard about my blood tests for Downs, it was over 2 weeks ago, so can I assume its ok? I am 35 years old. I am sure I am fine.

Great, I thought it was only me who still itches even with aqueous, epi, bio oil etc etc. Come on summer, I think some fresh air and sunshine will defnitely help (says the lily white one...!)

Ladies, and Vix, if your medical only covers certain scans, appointments etc, check with your gynae, mine has agreed that bec scheme only pays certain ones, I then pay for one extra scan and the other routine scans at every appointment are not charged. But my Gynae does charge a co-payment for the birth (over and above medical aid or hospital extras).

My little one is now waking up, so let the day begin... I can't believe in 2 weeks time she will be 1... last year this time I was getting restless. She was natural, so I didn't know when she would come. Glad the babies in our family always come a week early but its no guareentee!

Enjoy the shopping spree ladies... let us know what everyone is getting. With me I am trying to hold off for now. I only got bascs for LO and it all worked out fine. With number 2 I am even more cautious of gizmos! This poor thing has only been given one gift so far!

I am party planning this weekend! And tomorrow I am 20 weeks... half way... yay!

Sterretjie that's really bad. I don't know what I would do if little baba decided to close his/her legs now. I really want to know the sex of baba so that I can start to shop & decorate the room. Hopefully next time. Enjoy your break.

Congrats on all the boys & girls. I am so jealous because Peanut DOES NOT WANT TO OPEN HIS/HER LEGS!!!!!! I know it is every mom's dream that their children will have close legs until they are finished with school etc but for crying in a bucket - WE WANT TO SEE IF WE NEED TO BUY BLUE OR PINK.
We could see every thing last night - elbow x 2; knee x 2; hands x 2; feet x 2; nose x 1 etc. See the sex - NO.
So, now we patiently wait for the 4th of October and hopefully then at 27 weeks we would be able to see.

I am also starting to think it might be a girl but then I am also thinking it could be a very shy boy (unlike his dad). I will wait until this little one decides to show us.

We are taking a well deserved break next week - will be booking in at a game farm in Bela-Bela on Sunday and will stay there until Thursday - CANNOT WAIT
