Jan/Feb 2011 Mommies (Nov & Dec 2010 early babes)

Think i don't have to worry about intertaining little Kayden anymore in the future, her brother Riaan is trying to intertain already. Caught him last night (was so cute), she was crying/moaning in her cot next to my bed and he was watching "happy feet" - after a while i heard him talking in a cute little voice and she's all quiet. When i came in the room, he had this cute quilty smile on his face - cause he knows (well not anymore it seems) to leave her alone if im not near. LOL
Shame he was just talking to her and holding her hand. But when moms not near he better leave her, you never know when he can hurt her accidently - he is only 3. Other times she used to cry the roof off and he would be sitting in his own world trying to watch tv - so funny.

Can't wait for the day they can play together - you can see she want's to play with him, eyes always following him and his toys. He is such a lovable big bro.

Just popping in, looks like I started something with the walking ring, lol. I NEVER wanted to put my babies in them, but was thinking about it because I dont just have one baby and even when one is sleeping I can handle the 2, but Alexia on her own needs full time attention and she ill get bored very quickly in a walking ring, so I havent rushed out to buy one, lol, was a thought to see what else I could do to entertain her? If I put her in front of a tv, there is so much wrong with that too. DH and I joke that we need to hire someone just to entertain alexia.

Anyone, interviewed someone this morning and what a waste of time, she couldnt understand half th estuff I said.

As of an hour ago, Aaqil is 6 months old:) the antibiotics have given him bad diarrhea, and he has now developed some kind of rash and a cough:( so we back to the pead tom.

Even though dh and I both had walking rings, we have decided not to use one with Aaqil. Both the physio and Ot that work at the assessment and therapy centre with me are against them.

Well i have put a single mattress in the lounge- so everytime they are awake we play! Some of which incl supervised tummy time- they hated it initially but eventually they got used to it and they have both started leopard crawling albeit a few cms this last week. I have a cheapie playgym which i put over both of them when they get niggly or i need to leave the room. I rotate toys almost daily on the gym. Then i also put books next to them- since they came home and they love looking at them. Also a little mirror. We also listen to music and lots and lots of rattles! I usually cook in five min intervals whenever i get a gap- not very often- throughout the day

I just wonder what else one can do to keep them busy when you really cant hold or entertain them? Maybe you can share some ideas?
my baby is still small so there are so many things I can do with him for now but I know when they bigger they get bored easily and just wondering how else he would be kept safe and entertained for about 30 minutes while I prepared dinner?
