Maryke D @ waahahahaha! I'm still around!! just busy as usual... mik is going nuts at school for no reason (Like you saw on fb), then when had a lice scare, DH is sick in bed with bronchitis! It never rains... on the upside my dad is home.. very weak but at least he is home! Thank you Lord!! anyway... congrats to FJ! WOW... that is quite an achievement!!

Chan @ aaaaawww Kade is GORGEOUS!!! I cant' believe that the magnesium is making such a huge difference!

Hey everyone!

Still around, on the planet LOL Maryke! Just always busy, and both kids have ben snotty.

Ended up taking Nathan to paed yesterday after he has been snotty for a week, but there is nothing but a post nasal drip, and no infection or inflammation. He is a strong little boy.

I have given up trying to get him onto solids! Sarah was the same, and I will try again in a week or two's time. Sarah was the same. Nathan absolutely hates the food. First time I try something he loves it, then the next time to hates it. Actually gags, its not just pushing it forward which I know is normal. The paed says its all ok, and he'll get into it when he is ready. I can think of nothing worse than forcing a baby to eat. He is picking up on his own graph nicely. Sarah was the exact same - she actually skipped dinner last night, and thats the first time in a long time (but she ate so well at lunch yesterday and through out the day). So yeh, as the Paed said, gotta love him - there is no kiddy-police watching me - I am doing fine and I know my kids the best.

Congrats on the 6 month month mark to all the twins - and mommies!

So Nathan is 5,6 kg and today he is 6 months old. For the first time in a long time, I havent thought of what a rough day it was 6 months ago - rather I am celebrating my precious little bundle! I think I am finally ready to write my birth story. Overall I am doing much better. I dont feel as numb as I did and I think the meds are finally working. ah, too much about me.

I've been offline for a few days, no internet, and actually its not the end of the world! I have made a rule to switch off the laptop in the evenings. Although I must sort out photos tonight - need to make some memory space!

Meags -thinking of you every step of the way! Hope you can finally find some answers and routine and feeding pattern that will help Matt settle! Hugs

Maryke, congrats for FJ! So cute! I am hoping to join in on Sunday, so will bring SJ along too!

Vix - I hope to be there on sunday, unless the kids dont get better in the next day or 2. How are things. what is up?

Lizelle - how is hubby? And how is work going? Hope Kayden is settling nicely into day care.

Ster - sounds like you are also busy at work again. Glad Ige is better. glad the ear pressure has improved, I guess you must just watch it now. Now just to hope all our babas stay healthy through the winter!

Mandz - teething is a funny thing, its hectic and you just never know if what is going on is related to the teething ad how much you should allow. And every child is different. I and only my experience with Sarah) is that teegel worked for the first few weeks, then didnt work, although I still use it when Sarah falls and bumps her lips (seems to happen often). Prodol was good. Chewy biltong is great. And nurofen paed is excellent at night.

Chan, Kade is GORGEOUS! H looks s content. How are things going now? Do you think the magnesium has made the difference. I was trying it, but both Nathan and Sarah are refusing to take it - I got some powder from the heath shop and I must say its awful! Will try some other magesium sometime.

Binks - enjoy having hubby home. The kids must be happy and huby must be so excited. Enjoy the time together. Is he off again soon?

Everyone else, sorry no more personals, at least I catch up on fb from time to time. Have to run now. Nathan finished feeding, so nappy change, bath time, cook dinner and still have washing to sort out - does it ever end? Can I put in a sick day and chil out? Please!

Mandz I still wanted to reply and then my mind went a blank I am sure pudding brain is still having an effect! I had the same problem as Vix from 8 weeks Frances-Jane was in her own cot and since me being in hospital daddy made her use to sleeping in bed with us, so I have difficult week lying ahead of us once we move o the joys, all I can say if you don't want him getting use to being in bed with then don't put him there but if it doesn't bug either you or hubby then there's mos no problem

Vix I am def there!!!! I want to see your boys can't wait till meags great.... is it fine if I bring Francy pancy to play with C?

Ster glad I could help with advice I can remember I never had a nice bunch of girls to chat too to ask for advice all I had was my neighbour and it was both our first so ja it was real trail and error....

Ok ladies now I want to ask Frances-Jane I am batteling with her skin it's very dry, I bath her in vitamin E oil I rub her in with "speen salf" I tried the uncented aqueos cream, camphor cream she screams her head of after bath, her bum cheeks are cracked they actually bleeding and now I see her cheecks aren't far behind, I even exfoliated her skin to rid the dead skin but nothing PLEASE HELP!!!!! Even her lips are cracked

I think Llewellyn is also busy teething he is chewing his bottom lip like mad I think it's real itchy, I was thinking this morning that I am sure Frances-Jane had a tooth as six months I think the later the better, my neighbours boy had basically all his theeth at a year, she batteled with him badly I really felt sorry for her....

Mandz- sorry friend, I'm not ignoring you I promise, just really struggling with time to reply, sometimes FB is easier, maybe I should've just inboxed you there sorry. WRT sleeping habit, I also used to think like you, that I didn't want to make certain things habit so from day 1 C slept in his cot and only ever came to us when absolutely necissary, but then when the twins were born hubby let him sleep in my bed for a few months so I still had a babit to kick @ 2yrs old. Any habit is changable if you have 3 days of patience. So if for now you don't mind him in your bed then don't stress about it, if you want to get him out of the habit, choose a weekend to fight it out and just keep putting him into his own cot until he gives in.

Carmen and Suhaila- please don't over wrap your babies! I did with both boys and they stopped breathing, their breathing pads warned me luckily but wow I was flippin scared and then I remembered babies that die of cot death are quite often too hot from too many blankets. Ever baby is different, Alex can handle a full winter duvet but Jono just sweats like anything so he just has a very light summer duvet. It's nice to have a baby that sleeps cos they're warm but just don't over do the blannkets.

Now my mind is blank, is anyone else coming over to mine on sunday?

Twinbee- I didn't realise you had a shoot with Joli? How was it? Were the girls well behaved? I want to go but I want to include C but I think I'll have to wait til the boys are sitting because 3 of them is hectic! No I retract that, C is hectic!
