chris - glad the bleeding stopped and the scan went well- you are right, in your case the risk of mc is higher than that of downs - so best for you not to do an amnio.
In my case the risk of downs is higher than the chance of a MC - she showed me that the placenta lies a good position, and so to the lo- she showed where the needle will go to draw the amniotic fluid. with my age the risk of downs is 1:100 and the risk of MC is 1:400. with the scans and the bloods there is still a 15% chance, a risk I'm not willing to take. I have faith that all will be well.
Amnio will be on 31 Aug

Back from my scan! Went really well! Baby is 20cm now and weighs 412g! He's showing 21w3d and i'm only 20 weeks today! Doc thinks he'll definately come early. Scan today showed DD of Christmas day. Let's hope not - i'd be devastated being in hospital and not being home with my DD and DH on Christmas.

Everything is fine - I'm 11 weeks, according to measurements baby is 11w3d and LITERALLY bouncing all over the show! Doctor took a few minutes to get a clear shot as LO was moving around too much! LOL

AND THERE IS ONLY ONE!!! YYEAAAAAAAHHH

Mina, sorry you not feeling so hot, is the sinus thing not cos of the change of weather? I know I suffer every change of weather - summer to winter and winter to summer, its terrible, bu tat least i just have to worry about me. Not too long till the warm weathe ris in full swing.

Carmen, glad your scan went well. Dr had said to me that if we want to do the FA its up to us but if they do pick up something he reccomends not doing the amniotic testing because it does cause possible risk for MC, he said because I have already had the threatened MC I mustn't do it cos I would be at higher risk. I think regardless if they pick up something I have faith that all will be ok and my babies will be perfect. When will you be doing it?

My sisters colleague also had her baby there, she had to have an emerg c-sec, they only delivered 2 days later too.
