Jan/Feb 2011 Mommies (Nov & Dec 2010 early babes)

Hi everyone
Went for the foetal assessment scan today - all is well - nuchal fold and nose test indicate no downs and with the result of the bloods risk of downs low- but with my age there is still a risk and since I want to 100% sure i will be going for an amnio- scheduled for 31 Aug.
Dr says looks flat btw the legs so could be a girl - not sure yet.
Will post pics tomorrow, also got a 10 minute DVD- the scan was so thorough- she checked that the organs were functioning properly - and that the brain was developing. Baby measures perfectly for it's GA(gestattional age).
Went to the BabySense seminar on Sat - so worth the money spent- very informative esp for a 1st time mum.

Sexy hecy the 2 week scan is nb for them to do the nuchal fold measurement, an indicator for downs.

I am so tired, working, having sinus myself, hubby and 2 LG. Sleeping very bad.

Chan I wish I could feel my baba kick on the outside. I can feel baba moving but no kicking at all. Enjoy your scan tommorrow.

Vix I am so exited for you, packing some stuff already, I can't wait either and to have the closet smell lilke baby .

I wish summer will come on. I am so tired of all the jackets,shoes and runny noses that I can cry.

I wish I had the time and money to go and shop. my boobs are falling out of my bra's and all my shirts are to small now. Feeling like an elephant.

Can't wait for my scan on Friday!!

Well I'm off now to go to my appointment.... will update later on whats happening!

Ok...so update:

Went to doc on Friday, asked for referral to gynie in Bloem. Wanted appointment for end of Aug.

Lady phoned earlier, I have to be in Bloem like TOMORROW The gynie wants to do 12week scan for downs, they are very particular on doing that scan, if I can't make the appointment I must try another doctor but the others are also very strict on that 12week scan.

So trying to arrange everything now so we can go to Bloem tomorrow...bit hectic...middle of the month...finances etc etc. But our babies come first, so we just have to go and I know things will work out.

Chris glad your scan went well, but so sorry you couldn't see the sexes...my scan is in 3 weeks time (7sep). Will be about 18weeks by then, sure hope baby isn't shy.
i Really just want to know if i have to change all the blue to pink or if i could just make slight changes to the baby room and pack out all LO blue baby clothes

chris glad the scan went well and that the placenta's are doing fine wooohoooo

Chan aaahhhh man they are so cute I had the same with my lo the weekend I said to her feel you brother and your sister kicking (that's what she calls them he he) she feels she looks at me she says: " mommy you must becareful they will brake your tummy hey" I laughed so much at her. This morning she wakes up she says "come come mommy lets feel them kick" she pulled of all the blankets lifted my top and put her had on my belly looking at me with this funny face I said no my angel they are still doedoeing we will feel them tonight

AFM I am still feeling crappy the caughing is making it worse I feel so tender with all the caughing
