Hi Twinbee, welcome to a very nice thread, we really are a good bunch of mommies. Wow, there really are a lot of multiples in this thread! Sorry about your post birth experience, I hope you are fully recovered now!
gals, not too many personals from me, I want to try to catch a nap just now. Not because of Nathan, but because of Sarah! THe last week has just been hectic day and night (especially tiring) and eventually I took her to the paed today - her first middle ear infection! Partly due to teething and allergies again. So we are now on celestimine for 3 days and then will see if an anti-biotic is needed. So she is 18 months old and still not had an anti-biotic - hows that! She is napping for now...
Nathan is good, although still suffering from cramps. Argh! Everyday I think I'll stop the Bennetts Colic Mix, and then 5 or 6pm comes and he is so uncomfortable. Today I have had to give him some now at 2pm (first time so early). He hardly sleeps during the day - if we go out he naps in the car - if he is not hungry - but wakes the minute you stop - before I even get out of the car - just like Sarah! I am blessed with 2 wide awake kids. LOL. But at least Sarah has been sleeping well at night - except for the last week.
I want to try to pop into Dischem or clicks tomo to have him weighed. He was last 3,92 kgs at 11 weeks. I am not even sure what the average is. I learnt not to compare with Sarah, today she weighed 7,9kg - and I thought we had reached the 8kg mark! Nathan is in number 2 nappies and some days she is in number 3s! He is going to be the same size as her this year still!
They both keep me real busy!
Nathan is smiling and loves to be tickled, he is very ticklish! He is enjoying his play gym and musical things!
I sat under the trees on saturday and sunday, even fed him under the trees and he loved it! It was so nice, Sarah was running around and digging in the garden, DH was watching cricket or potting around and actually read a bit!
AFM, still battling with the blues some days, but am thinking more positive and and will start affirmations again soon. DH goes away for a week and even though I do everything with the kids (as in just about EVERYTHING), I will still miss just someone being there in the evenings and nights. Oh well...
I will write my birth experience oneday... I think I will write out both Sarah's and Nathan's birthing process to remind myself what a miracle it is!
Girls, I am so scared to start looking for a job towards the end of this year. I can't see our savings lasting forever and I'll have to return sooner or later. I cant think of anything I could do at home! I try not to worry, but its easier said than done. DH has thought about selling our house and moving somewhere bigger, but we need to do a few things here first and re-doing the tiling is one of the things! I want to run away! Really!
Seem to be feeling better with regards to the healing process, but I must admit I am still eina if I do too much (like sorting out our garage, although now my car also fits into the garage - yay!). And at least the spotting is not too bad, getting there!
Had to visit the dentist yesterday. She asked if I would like to come back for the work to be done, and I said I think so and she looked at me, and said no, lets do it now... I think she saw the look on my face. A major filling and 3 sealings. Naughty me for not flossing and skipping the dentist last year. At least I can drink a cold drink now without having to use a straw... my teeth were really sore!
Ok, enough moans and groans...
All the mommies dealing with cramps - just about all of us - its almost time for this to pass...
Sorry not too many personals now... I promise to try come on more often again. But I do read all the posts and think of you all often!
Bye for now!
