Hi everyone - we had a great long weekend and I hope you all had one too.

Solo, that back pain sounds horrible - have you asked your dr about it, is there nothing you can do?

I'm getting more uncomfortable every day and tire very easily, but nothing like that. Yesterday we were in Builders Warehouse and Keagan discovered a nerve or something to kick! Everytime he kicked, I would gasp in pain and surprise - not fun.

PhillipaJane, we have the same rule in our house. Luckily DH works at a very informal place and wear Tshirts and jeans to work.

Esmari, good luck with the move and final packing. The kitchen is usually the worse because of all the wrapping and breakable things. And I always have more things in my kitchen than I thought I had. Glad the foot is better.

BettyF, I know what I want for the nursery and it's been painted and the curtains are up. DH has to paint the cot this weekend and then we still need all the other furniture and stuff. But I bought bottles this weekend - probably the most sensible thing I've bought and I try to buy something small every time I go to the shops. Oh, and we chose our travel system, just need to buy it neeext weekend. We're going to buy the Chelino C3. If any of you do buy a pram, don't buy at Toys R Us, they are R500 more expensive on our pram than the online shops and BabyBoom.

Solo, I'm sure as you attend the ante natal classes you'll feel more prepared and relaxed. We don't have money for classes now, so I bought a book, Birth Skills, that we'll work through to prepare us. I was very nervous about the birth but I watch lots of youtube vids and read articles. And I'm sure the book will help as well. And then there's always medication.

I agree - ironing is the pits. If I hang all my clothes carefully on the clothes horse I can get away with a lot of ironing.

Betty_F I haven't started any nursery planning! Baba will sleep in my bed in a Snuggle Nest and I need to buy a camp cot/cot for BF's house. This is going to be tricky commuting between home and bf's house. I certainly don't want to be buying two of everything. I tried to do a bit of shopping for baba on Sat morning but I'm finding that my back pain is a huge disability. I can't walk from the car park to the first shop before my backache hits and I want to crawl on the floor and cry. My bff at the moment is a "Happy Hugger" microwaveable bean bag. It eases the pain after a few hours of constant use. It keeps me sane at work - I'm in agony and would be unable to sit in my chair without my happy hugger. So I am going to have to get all my baby shopping done ASAP because the backache is getting worse as I get bigger.

Philipajane LOL at (Babe, babe, I can't feel like my legs [amongst many porno sounds]) !!!! Oh my goodness that would have scared the poor kid witless and probably scarred him for life as well!! I've had to get used to sex with a child in the house - so i know to "sshhhh" and not to swing from the chandeliers....
Glad you had a good weekend - so cute with Zoe kicking on "cue" I wish my baby would. He just stops as soon as anyone other than me tries to feel.
Pls ask your friend how she managed to stay so calm before going to hospital!

Good Morning short week.

Phillipa, the kicks are the best. Gerhardt loves kicking his dad. He just sometimes kicks me where it hurts. A lot!

4 sleeps till we move. All our bedroom closets are packed, just our clothes. So just the kitchen left.

Have to do some ironing today, have no clothes in our closset. Hehe. Ankle feels better today. Not gonna overdo it tho.....

Hi there ladies

As promised, photos of the 21st cake. They loved it. Must say, I am very proud of this one.......





Got home at almost midnight last night. My ankle is so swollen today, and quite a bit more blue. But ja, I was on my feet for a long time yesterday.

So not so long before we are moving. I have so much to do. And not much movement to do it. Hope dh gets his ass up sometime and pack up his closet full of crap...... Old computer parts, and books and junk. At least he is home tomorrow.

Long week end yay! Dh was stuck in PE - no flights to cape town, had to fly to Jhb then Jhb to Ct. Let's hope he still gets home tonight.
