TaNasha – I’m sorry you have to go through this. But like the other girls said, all will be fine. I have a friend who’s LG were born with a cleft palate. They never picked up at any scan – so the shock was big when baby was born. BUT after 2 ops her palate is completely healed. She is the cutest little toddler, letting nothing stop her. she still has to work on her speech, but with time that will also be a thing of the past. I think the main thing is that you will be prepared. You can find out now where to go who to see. And your little baba will still be the most important, precious, beautiful baby ever.

Esmari – you go girl indeed! You know in your heart that studying is the thing to do – don’t let anyone stop you.
The hospital is so stupid. Money is more important to them then another human being. Glad your brother is okay.
Must be such a mission with your ancle. Some people say the most stupid things. Glad your DH put her in her place.
Philipajane – sorry about the babyshower. That really sucks, don’t know why they have to make it so difficult for you. luckily I don’t know anything about mine (yet).

Hi Thamu – welcome. Must be such a mission finding doctors/hospitals in a new country. Good luck with all of that.

MsDee –glad your scan went so well. it is awesome seeing those little features.

AFM – baby is still as active as ever. On 29/30 weeks now. Can ‘t believe it is almost time to meet my little nunu.

TaNasah, so glad the amnio is over for you. You are sooooo much braver than me Also relieved that you don't have to wait too long for the results.
(((((Hugs))))) Sorry to hear the cleft lip has been confirmed. But even though it's very stressful for you, your baba's lip is going to be repaired and will be just perfect. Take it easy and rest now, stay in bed and only get up for toilet breaks. Did Dr give you any antibiotics?

Betty_F and Karienh, to be honest I would prefer no birth... I'm petrified. Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place. I don't want the pain of delivery and I also don't want the pain of recovering from a Csec!! Maybe I'll opt for an epi and try the natural way. The thought of baby crowning gives me nightmares. Why can't they use a numbing spray that they use for stitching up afterwards. Oh my gosh...stitching. I saw my sister battling to walk afterwards and sitting on her doughnut cushion. I told BF last night they must knock me out for a week

Tanasha, glad all went ok yesterday. Will pray that thursday comes quick, and that there is no abnormality. And that its just the lip. You will get it fixed! She is gonna be perfect!

My brother got 6 stitches. Just shows you how dangerous a tin can be!

My ancle was so swollen last night, and blue! The driving didn't work for me. Today my ds has a lift again. Jay. So no driving for me. And my dh is coming home early.

I will have to get up off my bum soon and go and start icing that cake!

Dh told me this morning that one of the ladies in his lift club commented yesterday how small I am carrying, and that everything must have gone to my butt! Wtf? He quickly put her in her place, cause my arse is just fine thank you very much!

Hi ladies,

Had the amnio and it wasnt too bad.

I 1st had a scan and everything looks perfect except for the cleft lip on the left side. They could not see if it was the palate aswell though.

When they showed me the needle for the amnio i threw up! But then i just closed my eyes and I didnt feel anything. It was over very quickly.

We get the results on Thursday, so now the waiting starts...

Have been looking at ways of posting my Pregnancy tickers and i dont seem tofind the link for posting. Have copied the link but now i dont have anywhere to post. Help please. Have revised my EDD to June 23 using the ticker. So am at 26 weeks.

Rakker- are you feeling better. So not nice being in debt, but as long as you can still see a light at the end of the tunnel. Last year my step father was hit from behind while driving my car, and about a month later a taxi drove into the Side of my car, illegally trying to overtake me while. I was turning right. The insurance paid, but the R6000,00 I had to pay in excess nearly killed me. Now I have the hassle of suing the 2 for the money.

6 weeks left for me, I washed the nursery curtains yesterday, so will put them. Up this weekend...
