I have just been reading your posts and waiting anxiously for you to come back and share with us and i cant believe you still found space to help. I do hope the weeks wait wont be as long for you. What i know though is that all will go well and that you are lucky to be ina country where all the help for your LB will be found. I wish you all th best as you move on and prepare and once you conqure the emotional preparations then you are done.

They have said we will meet with a schisis team, who will prepare us for everything. I will also need to give birth in this hospital which is 2.5 hours away from us. So i will be induced at 39 weeks. baby will then stay in the hospital and they will help me with feeding and everything else.

Aaah, I see there are a lot of you ladies being afraid of the pain of natural labour. That is mistake number 1! The more you are afraid, the more intensely you experience the pain. I never even gave a single thought about the pain with my LB and really, I would do natural birth again and again. And really, epidural is your friend if it gets too much. I actually plan natural without pain relief this time . And the pain of the episiotomy (big headed LB...) was really not that bad. Don't know if I was lucky or what. I just took my (damn, what do they call it?) spitz? baths religiously, as well as the pain medication. I didn't need any doughnut cushion to sit on afterwards either.

So, I'm not saying it will be like that for all of you, but I am saying there are ways to get around the pain. Why not get the hypnobirthing book if you can't attend the course? I really think it will help a lot.

TaNasha I never heard of anyone else during my amnio research that got antibiotics. My Gynae gave me antibiotics and two painkiller suppositories (yuck ). He said the antibiotics were just to prevent an infection - there is a very slight chance of an infection because of the invasive procedure. But I wouldn't worry if your Dr didn't give you any. Maybe my Dr is just over cautious.

You will feel emotional. It's normal, you had an extremely stressful day yesterday - both for your mind and body. Take it easy. I know how you feel about next Thursday. I'm not even going to try to say to you to keep busy so that your mind won't be focussed on waiting for the results. That is impossible! Just remain positive and I'll be praying for you.
