hi

has any of you had thrush problems. I just notices some white stuff in keagan's mouth and think it might be thrush. Do I have to go to the dr or can I just go to the pharmacy and ask for something? Any suggestions for medicine that works well?

My baby's illness

Hi everyone! Seems we are all extremely busy with our babies! Hope everyone is doing fine!
Leani is already 4mnts 1week and 1day old! Can not imagine my life without her!

To everyone with a blackberry, please invite me bbm 2334DD65 if you are interested in joining the group for this thread. Solo and I want to start a bbm group with people from this thread so that we can chat together, ask questions, give advice, basicly everything we did here, but she will also be able to participate.

Hope everyone is doing well!
I can not complain, Leani is a dream of a child. She hardly ever cries, and only wakes up once a night to get milk and then goes back to sleep immediatly until 6:30! She is very friendly and never cries when im in the shops with her! She likes riding in the car and i am starting with solids now

Esmarie those are cute pictures. He really is a big boy! Keagan is 4 months and not at 6kgs yet.

Sunrise, you have to put up some photos of the twins! You're our only twin mommy. And I have to agree with Esmari, I don't know how you do it.

MsDee, I'm not taking Keagan for his dr's visit either. He's doing fine and the paed not going to tell me anything different.

I was wondering though, how often do you weigh your babies. Up to now I weighed him with each injection, should I still do once a month or less often.

BettyF, glad you're getting more sleep.

I've tried a new approach to naps this week and it really seems to work. He goes down much quicker, still only sleeps 30min at a time, but if it only takes 10 min to get him to sleep, putting an extra nap in the day isn't a problem. I've also stopped milk and coffee for the past 2 weeks. Don't know if that's also helping. His nose is def clearer since I've stopped the milk.

He is getting soo cute and it's more fun playing with him everyday :)

Ms Dee - I took Jack to his 6 week paed check up (which was a waste) and thats it. He wont be going back.

I did the same with my other 2 - they were growing well, there were no issues and the clinic sister seemed happy so I just skipped it.

At 6 weeks she checked all the things the clinic sister did and charged me 4 times the amount

So unless you are concerned about something I wouldnt go.

Hello.

Guys please help me out here.

My little boy is 4 months old today. I think i'm supposed to take him to the pead at 4 months, but i am not too sure why or if it is necessary. He has never been sick, is growing well. Anyone know what they do at the 4 month appt cause at the 6 week one they just weighed and took measurements.

We still have more than enough funds on the medical aid. Just wondering if it's necessary.

Esmari, I love the pics. He's such a cute little man.

Sunrise, glad to hear you're doing well with the twins.

Betty_F, long time!

Kanyo, enjoy the functions. I have 2 bridal showers and a wedding in Polokwane. Still debating whether to go to any of them.

FINALLY in front of the pc> typing on the cell is so annoying.

Laurakim, they tend to sometimes not gain as much, especially when they get a bit more active, and when they sleep more at night. Don't worry too much.

Sunrise, don't know how you survive twins. I looked after little Mia the other day for like 30 mins, and both of them started crying at once. Eish...

BettyF, whoohooo! that is great that she is now sleeping so late. i wish Gerhardt will start to stretch his nights longer. I know it will start as soon as he starts solids. looks like he will start early if i look at the criteria (his weight is already almost double). i started the other 2 before 6 months. guess it differs with every child, so i will just have to wait and see when he is ready.

He is already 11 weeks old. Cant believe how time flies. at his shots last week he weighed in at 6kg! mommies little big boy!
He sleeps good at night. gets his last feed at around 6h30, then wakes around 1am, and again just before dh alarm clock.

sorry for all the spelling errors, not lus to go change it. chow for now.
