And it's alive

.
MsDee, it's hard to find that balance between just enjoying the moment and catching the moment on camera. I try to get something of everything on camera and I do some video clips as well, because then there is sound. I enjoy looking at old video clips of my son and so does he. I usually can't believe how he has grown.
Esmari, how did the night go after the shots? I have never had any problems with either my son or daughter, so I am lucky.
Laurakim, Cherise can scream your head off, but luckily for me she really only moans at night. I have learned to wake up from the smallest sound from her. I hope your good nights last. I will not mind getting up twice a night...
LOL Karien, you jinxed the weather

. It's really not nice in Pretoria today. I really hate the fact that you get so many different opinions on everything, whether it's about starting solids, sleep training, or whatever. You never know which expert to listen to

. I started solids after this baby expert woman suggested it. I will never really know if it was the right thing. But it looks like Cherise is enjoying the solids (except the banana...).
TaNasha, it will be great if you could do halfday. I think the stimulation of the work environment is good for a mother, but spending time with your child is equally important. How is the feeding going with the cleft? Are you using a special teat? I'm not sure what the newest gadgets are.
Kanyo, enjoy your last month and a half or so. The last month of my ML was the shortest month of my life

. How is Bokang's skin? (If I remember correctly it was her). Cherise had something funny recently. It looked like some kind of eczema, but it was more like severely dry skin, all over her body in big patches. Not itching or red, luckily. I just started using aloe vera bath oil in her bath water and some fragrance and colourant free cream that I got from the dermatologist and it is almost gone. Just her elbows and knees are still a bit affected.
AFM (LOL, the rest was also about me): I still can't get myself to do actual sleep training. Every now and then I wait a few minutes before I go to her and when I do that she actually falls asleep most of the time. But usually I will think that she will sleep sooner if I just put her dummy back in her mouth, so why wait. But I do think I will have to give her a chance to learn to fall asleep on her own. She really only moans and when she cries I will always go to her. I just need to sort out the night feeds, because I think she still needs it (I know the "books" say she doesn't, but stuff the books). I just need to go from 2 feeds to only one, but she always drinks that second bottle like she is extemely thirsty, so I don't know. OK, back to work. At least I made my contribution to keeping the thread alive
