Good Morning Everyone,

Solo, thanks for making my morning very interesting! Here is what happened:

I am off today, and slept a bit late (okay more than just a bit), then woke up and turned my laptop on while not fully awake yet... then I saw your post to wish me good luck with my appointment. Immediately I felt ice cold, jumped out of bed and then, on the way to the bathroom, realized it must be Thursday today, except if I missed a day. Went back to my laptop looked at the calender, and then went back to my last post and saw, okay.... the app is only tomorrow and then I started to laugh at myself :P

At the moment I am so hungry I will eat the whole fridge... I am baking banana bread and the smell is driving me insane!!!! So far I have not felt any MS this morning but that may be due to the fact that I have not eaten anything today.

It is VERY hot here... 42 degrees outside, so I stay in my room mostly to make good use of the aircon. That is the only room in our house with aircon, and every time I go to the kitchen to check on my banana bread, it feels as if i am melting away.

Hope you are all having a fantastic day and welcome Angi! It sure is nice to be able to talk to people, going through the same stuff as you.

Karienh - Congratulations and welcome!
I had my 13 week scan about 2 weeks ago and my gynae checked the Nuchal translucency, I declined the bloods til 16 weeks (AFP test - which is R 140 through Lancet) because baba NT measured 1.2mm and I am 26 so a low risk I think. at the end of the day it is your choice. hope this helps ;)

Hi everyone, I'm new on moomies and so glad to finally find a South African thread for June 2011.

I'm 9 and a half weeks pregnant and my due date is 5 June 2011.

So far I don't have much MS but am hungry ALL the time. I'm really trying to eat healthy but am still picking up weight :( I'm also tired and bloated.

We're going to second gynae visit next week and I have question for everyone who's been through this. He wants to do a blood test for Down Syndrome. Has anyone done this and is it really necessary?

Tshepy - lemons are a citrus fruit and one a day will not cause a problem at all - it helps with MS while we are on the topic.

Juavor - it works nicely - driving in traffic with MS sux a lot.

Solo - hee hee... sorry about the chips.

Have a great day ladies and beans :)

Morning to all mommies to be,

I hope you all had a good night, can someone please let me know if eating lemon on a daily basis is good for the baby or not, I just cannot go a day without a lemon, I only eat one lemon a day not more.

Morning ladies! I can slap myself silly for only remembering this now ... last year I saw these anti-nausea acupressure wristbands at Dischem and thought of getting them for my sister who is a pilot and has to sometimes deal with airsick passengers on their charter planes. I never did get them, but made a mental note to experiment with them in terms of morning sickness some day.

Well that day has come (about 4 weeks ago already!!!!) and I've only remembered now!!!

Good news is that you don't need the bands, you can just do it wherever you are and with just your fingers.

pregnancyandbaby.sheknows.com/pregnancy/...ng-sickness-3442.htm

You can read up more by Googling acupressure morning sickness

MS has taken a new turn for me since last night, so I phone-Googled this in traffic this morning and have actually arrived at work feeling more alive than dead. :)
Hope this brings some relief to someone else as well.
