Mandy - how far are you?

LOL maybe I shouldnt have packed my bag - maybe then baby will come. I have a new pair of pjs I got for my birthday packed but I am dying to wear them now - they are Woolies pjs and SOOO warm and nice! Might try tempt fate and wear them tonight!

I haven't packed the kids bags yet cos I don't have enough uniforms to pack a uniform and a PE outfit. So those will be grab and go if baby does decide to come unplanned ;)

Hi everyone,

We' are back home and everything is going great with Keagan and me. The BF is going well - my milk's come in and we haven't had any problems with his latching. I am so relieved because I was more stressed about that than about the delivery.

And I love being a mother - I'm more relaxed and confident than I thought I'd be and can't believe how much I love this little boy - and it gets more every day.

But I'm also very emotional - I cry for everything - good things and bad things. Hope this passes soon.

Solo, if you really are scared of natural labour I would def go with a csec. It's not what I wanted and would love to have a natural delivery next time, but it was also not as painful and stressful as I thought it would be. The birth itself was very calm - mostly because of the drugs :). And my recovery so far wasn't very painful at all. I know that a lot depends on your dr - how quickly you're allowed to get up etc., but I got up on day two and by day 3 I could move around easily and have had no problems with bf positions because of pain. But this has just been my experience and everyone's is different.

MsDee, cogratulation! I'm so glad you're finally a mom. Enjoy it and please post pics soon.

Here is a pic of Keagan after we got home yesterday.

Yep Laurakim, please pack my hospital bags as well! I've kinda stopped thinking about getting ready for baby!!!! I need to get my bags packed and into my car, who knows I might be visiting BF when baby decides to come!! I still have to buy feeding bras and comfy button down pj's. I did buy some PJ's but I am worried that I should have bought night gowns as opposed to top/bottoms as the pants may rub on my csec stitches. I bought a lovely maternity feeding nightie from Carriewell, its so comfy and warm and I wanted to buy another two or three of them, but at over R250-00 each....
How are you feeling now Laurakim...still in pain?

Mandymel I sooooo know about battling to get dressed in the morning. My office is like a fridge so I have to dress extra warmly in winter and that includes toe socks (uugh) and fur lined boots (uugh) otherwise I get very bad chillblains. You have to see me struggle to get the toe socks on and then pull the boots on! It takes me ages. And then it's leaning over the bath to wash my hair. I do the giraffe thing...spread legs, put bump between legs and then lean over the bath while huffing and puffing. I'm sure some mornings I don't get all the shampoo out because I can't bend over the bath for one more second. Sooo, ML here we come. I am going to have to work hard though to make some money though!

Kanyo83 the next month is going to go so quickly. It won't be long before you are on ML. How are you feeling? Are you managing with your bump? I can't comment on the csec, but I have decided that rather an elective csec than an emergency. So when I see my gynae on Friday I'm going to inform him that I want a csec! Also I worry about medical aid shortfalls if I have an emergency csec as they are a lot more expensive.

Tshepy good to see you here, how is Orefile?
