Thanks Betty_ so envy you with Sarah, thanks for the response on the fetal monitor that's what I was scared of that your movements are so limited. I was thinKing that. I delay going to th hospital if the labour kicks in but I guess in reality this doesn't happen wE shall see

Ok well day one of building not too bad. They just dug trenches.

Tanasha - enjoy your long weekend. Hope the washing comes to an end soon!

Mandymel- yay on the tooth! Strange that it was a top tooth. But at least it came, hope that the rest of the teeth don't bring fevers.

Thamu- when I was in labour this time around I also had the fetal monitor attached to me. The only problem is that you have to lie down all the time, which is not the best position to be in whilst having contractions. I kept telling the midwife that I needed the toilet so that I could move around. I never had a drip. But in the end I had the c section as gynae was not happy with progress.

Sarah was such a joy today, actually had 2 sleeps in her cot and not demand to be held!

Betty - good luck with the building. Its not fun but the end results will be awesome I am sure!

Mandy - congrats on the tooth!

TaNasha - I was so sure baby would be early but if I wasnt having a caesar I am sure he would go to 45 weeks

No major update here - busy with the shop - we got some cash in so doing a small revamp - its looking great

Forgot to mention that today's scan confirmed that its a LG we are having. Fortunately had resisted the urge to buy boys clothes so now will be full out scrounging for anythin pink. Today I guess I got closure, so we will be a family of 3 girls and I guess when we embarked on this journey it was to get a LB and we had forgotten that we are not God. Against all odds she has to be with us

Have just been updating my self with reading your posts ladies and can't really go back much with th personals.


I have had twists and turns over the past few weeks and would want to share here with you. I had my 1st Gynae visit arranged by th Midwife at th Mowbray Birth Unit and met this lovely Gynae but she said due to th Ceaser I had had she was moving me tO the Public side of th hospital and my next appointmnt was for today at 7am. DH and I thought that we ddnt really have an option as th Midwife had said th Pvt hospitals would be too expensive for us.

Today was up by 5.45 for the queue at Mowbray MH and when I got there I was number 29.by the time the hospital started tickin 100 more women were behind me. Here you sit and wait for your name to be called from gettin folder: 50min to scan 60min, back to waitin for folder after scan 20min and then the wait to get to see th Doctor about 90min and you finally meet the Doc. There are abt 15 Gynaes there. Unfortunately I met a diff doc from th one I met last week, she had been one of th nicest docs and with her I felt assured. Today's was good but not to th niceness of last weeks.

Despite th waiting I loved th part of th hospital, very smart and clean and above everything efficient. Wednesday is th date for high risk pregnancies I think today they were over 300 of us. I am hoping th actual labour and after delivery rooms are dealt with in this precision, am no longer scared of giving birth here.

What worried me tho was what th Doc said that they will support me in my Bid for a VBAC but I will have to have a drip throughout the Labour and a fetal monitor. I can't imagine tho how uncomfortable th actual labour would be. Otherwise that's where I am but due to not sleeping properly I ended up failin to stay at work as I was sOoo sleepy I hope next wednesday I don't get too anxious about the queue as I still have to be at work

Hope you all are well today? So today I'm a very proud mommy - my lo FINALLY got his first tooth! I kinda think that's partly why he was so ill the weekend past...It's a huge monster (at least i think so) and its his top tooth so his gonna look like bugs bunny

@BettyF: Ouch on starting the building work...not a nice time to have the inconvenience of builders in your home...but it will be worthwhile in the end...and I so agree with you, they estimate that it will take a certain amount of days but in the end it takes double that to get the job done...Best of luck to you!

Esmari your bump is beautiful! My bump is infested with strectchmarks, uurgg!

I also dont have my bags packed yet! We have been told that we shoudl prepare ourselved for this baby coming early, but I have a feeling she is going to be one of those who wont want to come out untill 42 weeks!

I have started washing all her clothes, I didnt realise I had so much! But it does look sooo cute all hanged up waiting to dry!

We have a public holiday here tomorrow and i took Friday off, so I have a nice loooong weekend! I want to get DH to get all the last bits sorted for the nursery. Will then post a photo once we're done! It is all so very real now!
