Hope you all well...what a wet and windy day it is in the Cape today! Glad to see well all still here today, what with saturday supposed to have been the end of the world...

Ok, so Esmari I can totally understand your frustration - they always fill you in on the terms and conditions of special offers AFTER you make the effort to try and purchase something..and really 3 jumbo packs of the same size nappy is a bit risky - especially if your lo is bordering on their current and the next size!...

I have also been having quite a bit of bh lately - they started out being painless but now they hurt quite a bit...It's weird feeling my tummy whilst i'm having a contraction..i let my dh have a feel during the middle of one and he couldn't believe how hard it goes and then it just goes soft again!

I was also wondering this morning if any of you ladies had perhaps "popped" this weekend past....or is it gonna happen all at once! who know's

The thing is Laurakim, if there is a but, they shouldn't tell you at the till!

I think the 'bh doesn't hurt' statement is very overrated! I get about 10 a day since as early as 16w, and some are really painfull. To the point where I close my eyes and breathe through them! So it might very well be bh, or your body prepping for birth soon! Good luck!

I have been crampy pretty all weekend - comes and goes but never gets worse or regular

So not sure if its just braxton hicks or what! Apparently BH arent sore those and while these arent very painful they are still painful!

You lot give birth or something?

Mornings. Wow, planning a weekend away is damn hard work. Cant find any place thats worth while, and not crazy with their pricer. I am not lus to go camping with my pregnant belly. Our matres is deflating anyway. Ghuggg.
Just wanna go away before baby comes.

Mornings

Had my baby shower yesterday. Was wonderful with family and friends. Got some good prezzies, and some a bit impractical. No diapers though. Jikes. But not too bad. I bought a stash myself. Will be ok first couple of months.

Went to dischem yesterday to get more diapers. They sent me sms with a special on Huggies gold. Buy 2 bulk packs, get a third free. I ended up throwing all my shopping out of the cart. Hehe, almost! When I turned around, the manager had everything in his arms! When I took diapers, they told me that it HAS to be the same size! Wtf?
1. Your sms did not state that certain terms and conditions apply - only that it's till stocks last.
2. Why in heavens name would I take 3 packs of Nr 2 diapers, if I am only gonna use 1, because duh, babies grow real fast.
3. All the sizes cost exactly the same!!!!!

So, I sent customer care a real friendly, but nasty email complaining, and telling them that they have lost a client! Did I mention I was a total sarcastic biatch? Even started with 'thank you for this wonderful special offer'!
Anyway, don't know if it will bring me anywhere, but at least it made me feel better!

So its not safe to wait for no movement to "confirm" you are in labour - you may very well be during the process!

Weeskind- my gynae never checked me for a ripened cervix nor did he ever do any internal examinations on me during either of my pregnancies.

At 40 weeks your dr will probably give you a date for an induction...

As laurakim suggests if worried go to the hospital.

Laurakim- I was wondering the same thing before I had LG. I could not remember if I felt my first baby move. I took specific note this time and yes i did feel baby kick during labour.
