Keep meaning to ask this - does baby move when you are in labour?

I can't seem to find anything conclusive on google but is baby not moving a sign or labour or can you still dilate/have contractions with baba moving?

Weeskind - I am also very emotional at the moment. I sobbed most of today over the smallest of things

With both my previous pregnancies my gynae never checked anything other than the scans - ok I only made it to 36wks with both of them so not sure what happens towards the end.

If you are worried then go into your maternity ward and let them hook you up to the monitor - they can track contractions and I am sure the nurses can check if you are dilated.

Next app at gynie is on wednesday....

Another thing, I have read that doctors check to see if your cervix is ripened ect. from 36wks onwards... how do they check it? The last 3 dr appointments I had, he only did a quick scan and said baby is doing fine. No other examinations or anything. At my 36wks appointment he said we will discuss labor when I am 38wks... and on Tuesday I was there, he said he will let me go till 40wks, if she does not come by then, he will make other arrangements? It's all very vague to me. Is it normal or should he have givin me more info and better check up? I DON'T KNOW? :(

Hope what I tried to say makes sense... i'm truly stressed out and then I can't THINK in English lol.

Hang in there ladies, you will all be fine. Have great doctors behind you who will support you through labour and or you c sections xxx

It's not too long for some of you now, Weeskind, perhaps a we'd end baby! I never marked anything for baby, in fact I hardly used anything that I brought for baby. Only the going home outfit. The hospital dressed baby in their clothing and we used the hospital blankets etc. They also gave me a baby bag with all babies toiletries and nappies etc.

MsDee - how are you doing baby should be here soon ;)

lg is still hanging on my boob all day, very tiring, but she sleeps well at night. Is this a growth spurt? Can't keep this up everyday :S

Sounds interesting Weeskind...keep us updated!!!!

I am no expert on how labour starts as I have decided that I am going to avoid going into labour!! LOL

But the fluey symptoms and lower back aches and pains sound as if your body is preparing itself. When is your next gynae appt?

Good luck! You started this thread and now it's nearly your turn to have your baby :)

Weeskind, I dont think it will go away! It stays till your milk comes in after birth. Mine is watery when I squeeze, then turns a bright yellow.

Jip I think so Esmari :)

Oh, I just remembered the other thing... For the past few weeks there was a watery discharge from my (.)(.)... so from what I read that is normal and it is colostrum right? Well, last night it was more milky and sticky... now is THAT normal? I don't want to stimulate my nipples to much Esmari, won't it make the colostrum go away? Or is it a good thing? My mom says I must NOT squeeze it lol

Sorry for tmi
