Solo I am also terrified of giving birth! I am secretly hoping that baby wont turn and I'll have to have a c-sec!

But then I keep thinking millions of women have given birth and they continue doing it, so surely it cant be that bad?

Re BH. I get them often and they are painless, just make me catch my breath until it goes away. Last night I found that I was rubbing my tummy during them, as they were getting a bit painful. Not hectic painful, just enough to make me want to rub the eina away.

Esmari and TaNasha I am so glad to know that I am not the only one going through panic mode. We all have different reasons, but we are all feeling this weird panic. It must come with the territory!!! I can't tell BF how I feel as he is now looking forward to his son's arrival, and now I'm the one filled with fear of being a mom and doing serious back pedaling. I am 42 years old and now I am going to have a child to look after. I'll be 60 when he is 18 years old. YIKES.

TaNasha I so feel for your fears. Just remember that your beautiful princess's cleft lip is very slight and she is going to be stunning :) You won't even notice it.

I'm also scared of giving birth, but I have been from day one. Yesterday I found a video link to a natural birth on YouTube and I thought I'd watch it to dispel my fears.. Well, it only served to enhance my conviction that I am going to go the csec route. BF can do a platz on the floor during the csec for all I care. I bet you he would platz during natural birth as well. :P

Esmari weren't you going to be on TV last night? I hope I didn't miss the ad. I didn't watch TV last night as BF was trying to fix my hazard lights on my car. Silly hazard light button popped out on it's own and put the hazards on, and then I couldn't turn the hazards off! LOL you should have seen me driving yesterday - just like a taxi :) Was good for a laugh or two, but then it got a bit tired.

I'm sorry I don't think I welcomed you to our thread kanyo82. If I did already welcome you, then just blame it on pregnancy brain and feel extra welcomed ;)

Philipajane how are you feeling? Vomiting gone? I was reading yesterday that nausea and vomiting can also be a sign of pre-eclamsia (along with the hand and face water retention). I know that you wouldn't be silly - and you would know the symptoms of pre-eclamsia. Jut hope it was a bug and not third tri MS.

Betty_F can't wait to see your photos :)

Laurakim that sounds really painful. Shame how are you coping? Are you in your shop all day?

Hi to Thamu, Tshepy, Rakker, ClaireC, MsDee, Karienh, Sunrise, AHA?, and Ertjie

Hi mommies!

It's Friday!

Solo I defenitely do not feel anything like a fairy anymore!

I think this panic is maybe a thing we all experience? I have also been very panicy lately! Especially about the birth, I am trying my best to prepare myself on what to expect with our baby having a cleft, but I am still so scared that I might be shocked or might even thing she is ugly when they give her to me. I know this sounds abit selfish or superficial, but it is a real fear. I have been reading alot about other women with cleft babies, and theya ll say when they 1st see their baby they dont even notice the cleft because the baby is perfect in every other way. I think that this is how I will feel, but I cant be sure, I just hope with all my heart I will!

I think I will also start with my hospital bag this weekend- just to be prepared! I have been having horrible braxton hicks and the midwife said that this might be a sign that baby will come early. I will also start working 2.5 hours less per day from next week. Work was not very happy, but I am listening to my body and doing what is best for my baby!

Hope you all have a lovely Friday and relaxing weekend!

Morning ladies. Remember when we were pregnant fairies? LOL I doubt that any of us feel like fairies right now - pregnant or not. hehe

Sorry no time for personals. Work is hectic - I only have 8 days before I go on ML. Cant wait.

Baby still hasn't turned, so I'm not having the pelvic pressure, but I do feel pressure under my ribs and pain in my throat..perhaps baby plans on exiting there. :silly: :) Ugh this heartburn is really killing me now.
BF said again last night that it is time now for the baby to come as I look sooooo uncomfortable. I have to admit I panicked at the thought of having the baby now. I mean...I'm NOT ready to be a mom yet. Yikes, will I EVER be ready? Am I going to be one of those moms that reacts with shock at the birth - at this bundle of joy that is now my sole responsibility? Or will this fantastic maternal instinct that everyone talks about kick in? Cause I 'aint feeling any of it yet...
I look at the piles of baby clothes that I have washed and I breathe in that delightful baby smell, thanks to all the baby washing powder and softener, and I still cannot believe that these clothes are for MY baby. That I have a baby inside me - a real live child. Oh my word. Is this panic normal?

Ok, I am officially in panick mode! Today it feels like someone is pressing against my chest, depriving me from my oxygen supply.
I keep getting pictures in my head of yet another prem baby. And then I think, he might be here soon. And theres not much time left! Ok, so there isn't! I am almost 31w. My ds came at 39w, my dd at 35w. Both not so much in the distant future! Wow I feel panicky! Soon I will have another child. What the heck did I think I was doing? How the heck am I going to handle a baby, a child in school, and a tantrum throwing 5y old without going insane? How are we going to afford university for al 3? Wow I am paranoid.
