Hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was great! We finished the nursery and I love it! Will post photos a bit later.

My gynae appointment went well and everything looks good. And I'm cleared for a normal birth, unless something happens. So I'm pretty excited about that. My baby is still big but at least his head measurements from last time seems to have been wrong and although he's big, he won't be just a head. I also have to start counting his movements during the day and if there's less than 10, immediatly go to the hospital. Does anyone else have to do this.

I've decided to make the most of my last three weeks and try to enjoy every moment of my pregnancy.

MsDee, I can't believe your gynae is leaving you at this stage and doens't care enough to make other plans. I can imagine that you must be feeling pretty low. Maybe you can make an appointment with a midwife for the two weeks he's away, just to make sure everything is fine.

Tanasha, welcome back - glad you had a good holiday. The nursery looks lovely! Let us know what the midwife says.

I am seeing my gynae today at 13h30 and dont think I have been this excited to see him

We are back from holiday and it was lovely! I have been following all your posts from my BB, but no I cant remember everything I wanted to say!

I have a midwife appointment tomorrow, I cant wait to hear what position baby is in as it feels very weird and Im getting kicks or punches everywhere. Its also amazing seeing my belly move! DH loves it! And my belly button popped out yesterday and now this morning it was just flat again, but now only the top part is out- it feels very weird!

OUr nursery is also almost done, we still need a few bits and bobs, but i feel so proud and I keep going in there.

Hello ladies.

I haven't been well for a while now. Friday was supposed to have been my last day, yet i found myself offering to go in to help another manager on Monday. IDK why i did that?!!!!

Rakker i am so with you. Some of these doctors are manipulative and will tell you anything to get you to agree to whatever suits their agendas.
I've just lost faith in my gynae. At my last appt (5th of May) he told me he was going on holiday for a while so the next time i'll see him is on the 23rd of May! 2 weeks before then it was very important that i see him every week from then on, now he was telling me it wasn't necessary that i see someone else whilst he was gone! My EDD is 26 May for goodness sake!
So now i am 100% convinced that his story about my baby having a big head & his "concern" about whether it will pass through is just BS! Honestly i'm very upset and doubt that i'll be able to take any of his advice seriously from now on.

Had to lol at the caesar post - I know women come across it but I have had 2 different gynaes and neither one has actually encouraged a caesar - in fact both tried to get me to consider natural - even though the risk was high because of my hip issues AND the one now actually discussed it with us even though I have had 2 previous caesars.

So yes they are out there but sometimes they do really want the natural option and consider the mom.

Just to clarify... I don't have anything against C-sections, really. I do have a problem with gynaes who do not take the wishes of the patient, the paying client, into consideration and come up with bullsh!t reasons for going the other route. When at hospital I chatted to this one dad (I was sitting in the dad's corner, LOL). He was asking about my baby and the birth etc. and he then told me that his wife had a C-section because her gynae didn't want to take a chance with such a big baby. I saw him with his baby the next day and I (having forgotten what he told me about the big baby) commented to him about how small his son looks compared to my LG. That was no big baby!
