Hi girls! Sorry for being M.I.A. most of the time. It is amazing how I don't have time for anything. Just a few personals:

Esmari, my sister also had Bell's palsy and recovered 100%. Glad about your SIL!

Solo, babies often turn in the last few weeks. I was told it is common for a baby to be head down and then at 38 weeks turn head up and then upside down again. I know you are petrified of natural birth, but don't let your gynae come with that nonsense so soon. My gynae told me we won't make any decision until 38 weeks. It is crazy to say so soon that it will have to be a C-section. To give you an idea of how much gynaes like C-sections, there were 29 babies in the maternity ward when my LG was born. Only 4 of those were vaginal births (of which my LG was one). OK granted, it was before the long weekends and most gynaes went on leave for the almost 2 weeks, but that is just another indication of how they plan things around their own plans.

About the hypno birthing thing. I never even read the book and I did consider buying it for myself, but thought of it too late. During labour, when the pain was unbearable, I thought to myself that nothing, no positive thoughts or self hypnosis or breathing or whatever will make that pain less. So I still have to be convinced that anything other than an epidural will make a difference, LOL.

Laurakim, glad your panic attack is gone. Good luck with the exams! I don't know how you do it while being pregnant.

Karienh, what did the gynae say? Don't let him bully you into a C-section if you want a normal birth. You pay him for delivering a service the way you want it. If there isn't a valid reason for a C-section, tell him to shove his C-section idea .

AFM: Enjoying LG a lot. She is quite a good girl, but also has her moments... Takes forever to get her in bed for the night at times. That is why I am on Moomie at 1:30... Will post a pic or 2 from my newborn photo shoot when I receive the pics in 1 or 2 weeks time. Can't wait to see the final product of 4 hours of effort. And that is just the photo shoot and not the editing JOLI has to do. It was fascinating to watch her in action. She would take forever to ensure every little piece of material was in exactly the right place or that each finger is exactly the way she wants it. She is truly an artist and I can really recommend her to you guys. Book with her as soon as possible, because she is quite busy, especially over weekends.

Esmari - glad your DH is doing better and how cool is your little geek

I am glad to report that my panic attack from earlier this week seems to have disappeared and I am a lot calmer now. My next gynae appointment is on monday and my first exam tuesday

David had a baby shower this afternoon at work and I can't wait for him to get home so I can see what he got - the pics he sent look awesome

Betty I am not officially due in May and even though I no longer feel baby will arrive today I dont think we will make June

Had our first outing today with Sarah, was really crazy, she decided to stay awake the whole time and does not like her pram

Gynae took the staples out and I feel more human now, yay can sleep on my side again. Hopefully things are looking up. He said that I can drive again which is great! There are 6 layers of stitches inside which will dissolve on their own.

Esmari- I never had the leaky boob problem. I still have breast pads from when I had M. I only use them if I have a cracked nipple and put some cream on them , just to prevent the nipple sticking to the bra material.

Karien- enjoy the last while being preggers!

Solo- how wonderful that baby kicked for BF. It is a magical experience!

Can't remember who asked about the maternity pads, I used the Carriwell ones. The dr whites are thinner. I also had them but preferred the carriwell.

How are the birth preparations going? Who is next on the list? Are there any other babies due in May?

Karienh - Got a 3 wheeler pram. Its in a real good condition. So this am we returned the one we bought, and got our money back. Got some stuff for my sil too. Oh, and a bf pillow.

Solo, dh says his face is feeling better. So the muscles are improving already. He didn't get it as bad as you can get it. So he is doing fine.
Men don't understand that babas can respond to touch. I even read somewhere that they can actually sometimes see outside. If the light falls right they can eg see shapes. I didn't know that before.

Don't know what this one did last night, but it felt like he was turning all over. Getting ready to become the rugby player in the family. Seeing as it seems that Jaco is going to be the "geek". His teacher is so impressed with him. Yesterday they had computers, and he was the only one that knew what he was doing. He actually helped her help the other kids. And he is only 6. So cute.......

Anyway, dh writing exams again today.

I like your new thread MsDee. Very interesting! I suppose I had better pack my hospital bags this weekend - just in case!!

AFM I laughed last night. I told BF he must rub my bump more often so that baba can get used to his touch. He replied that the baby cannot possibly feel his touch... So I insisted the baby could. So he rubbed and loved my bump and the next thing... BAM!! He got kicked! His eyes nearly popped out - the baby was responding to his touch! He got kicked again after that. Funny because it wasn't as if the baby was active when he started loving my bump.

BettyF, so glad you're doing well and enjoying sarah.

Esmari, did you get any good second hand finds? I haven't produced any milk stuff yet.

MsDee, how are you doing - It's so close to your due date now. You must be excited.

My babyb feels like he's dropping lower every day - he'll be between my knees one of these days. I'm going to the dr this afternoon and will find out how big he is and if the dr recommends a csec. I really really want a normal birth. And I'm so ready for the baby to come out now, but we're putting in new kitchen cupboards next week and I want that done before he comes, so I hope he stays another week but at the same time, I hope he pops out today.

Thought I was the only one not producing milk yet (heehee), and just now I saw clear fluid, then colostrum coming out. Hope my clothes dont stain like with my ds. Cant start wearing pads now already. I went through boxes of them with my son.

Going to look at 2nd hand goods just now. A lady in dh building wants to give them away and asked if we are interested. I'm not saying no! Will let you know what goodies I get. Also have baby shower next saturday.
