Karienh - phew! Glad the nose just looks big on the scan! BF insists that the baba has my nose! Cheeky bugger!
I'm still busy with the Hypnobirthing book. I found it extremely interesting, but I doubt that I will use the techniques - even if I have a natural birth. I'm very wary of hypnosis - even if it is self-hypnosis. That's just me! To me it's like handing over the control of your mind to something other than yourself. So I haven't tried any of the exercises, but there is still a lot of info in the book to help with any issues you have regarding childbirth and preparing emotionally for a child and making sure the child is welcomed into a truly loving life.

Morning, sorry but this post is gonna be all about me!

I am so worried right now. For about a week now dh has been having probs with his eyes. They are red, and looks 'bloodshot'. But his left eye is more affected. Just now he tells me that eversince that started, the whole left side of his face is acting weird. Like he cant move his nostrel, his lip seems weird, and it feels numb. A friend who is a paramedic said it sounds like bells pulsy, something about the nerve, and it goes away, doc cant do anything. But it can be so much more thats causing it! We are going to a gp at 11.

This is why I hate being without a ma. What if he has to go for further tests like scans and mri ect. I'll have to phone my friend that works at the hospital and see if she can then organise 'special treatment'. Maybe I am now just making up stuff in my head. Darn hormones!

Solo, he's beautiful! So glad you got to see his face. Don't worry about the nose, our boy's nose also looks big and flat. I think its just on the scan.

Esmari - that's the best news about your sil. Hope she can start enjoying her pregnancy now.

Laurakim - good luck with the studying. You are so brave with everything you're doing while so very pregnant!

Solo, have you finished your hypnobirthing book? Have you tried any of the techniques in the book? We tried one of the hypnosis things last night, but it didn't really work - I was super relaxed, but I'm not sure it's going to help me get this baby out - but I should probably finish the book before I judge it.

I'm still doing baby washing but almost done. Just need to wash my nappy inserts twice more and it will be finished

Oh and baby is still breech. One hand over his face and his legs right up with his feet around his face as well. Sonographer said that I must remember this and not swaddle him with his hands tucked in, rather leave his hands out for him to self-soothe as he obviously likes his hands over and near his face.

I also saw my gynae yesterday and he doesn't seem optimistic that baby will turn now... BF wanted to know why Dr didn't try to turn baby, because his first child was also breech and Dr did try to turn him, but his wife ended up having a csec because he stayed breech. And of course, BF is very scared of a csec!!!! He doesn't want another Platz on the floor! LOL

Laurakim I don't blame you for not feeling like studying. Hang in there hun and do little bits at a time, don't overwhelm yourself.

AFM I had my first 3D/4D scan yesterday. WOWOW! It was incredible. I started to cry as soon as I saw his face!! I took my mom with me and she couldn't believe what she was seeing! I'm so glad I took her with me So special to share my baby with her
Baba weighs 1.97kg, heartbeat 146bpm. Sonographer said he is beautiful (yeah, I know, she tells that to all the mommies!!) but still, it's wonderful to hear Oh and when I showed BF the pictures he started to cry and then again when he watched the videos and said the baby is truly an angel. We are just a bit concerned about his big nose!!! But everyone tells me the nose just looks bigger or it's swollen. Oh goodness, I hope so. LOL hehe BF started with the "Have you been "doing" the postman!!!?" And of course I had to respond with the "Hmmmmm, well, how do I know the baby is even mine?!!!!" LOL We had a good laugh

I hope you all had good Mother's Days. I even got a "Happy Mother's Day" sms from BF. Phew, he is trying...

I must get some work done.

It's been quiet on here recently.... Hope everyone is well.

Thamu - with my first baby I bought Dr Whites but used 2 I think - I really felt uncomfortable with them on.

Small update - I am trying very hard to focus on studying but it's not working - I write next tuesday and can not focus on what I am doing for longer than 10 minutes I am sore and uncomfortable and just want to lie in bed and watch TV all day!!

ThAnks Mandymel, managed to pass by Dischem and saw the M Pads but just wanted to check with you guys on the Brand as there was Dr White's and Dr Carrwell type which is better.

Had an appointment at th Mowbray Birth Unit for 18th and only realised its aholiday so have been moved to Wed 25th. My Midwife Sandy has been amazing
