Solo I also have no idea what to dress baby in. It will be summer here though.. I read that babies always need an extra layer than we do. So for winter I would buy long sleeves.

Phillipa Lol about the dog. I would not bepicking up and throwing toys around either.

AFM: Me and baby are doing fine, I still have some braxton hicks but luckily nothing as bad as Sunday. I have been quite emotional aswell. There are so many things to worry about now. And I keep having weird dreams about giving birth to a dolphin??

Karienh, so sorry you hurt yourself, it doesn't sound good at all. You must be in a lot of pain. Sorry but I had a chuckle at the thought of a 7 month pregnant lady crawling in to the Drs rooms - let alone hopping in. I presume DH will be going with you (driving you there)

Tshepy you lucky thing! How wonderful to go on maternity leave early and be paid for it. A fire isn't nice at all, but if you can't work you may as well stay at home

BTW I was thinking last night about the Eskom load shedding this winter, which they can guarantee we will have - at least 14 critical periods they say. And we are going to have a cold winter apparently. How are we going to look after new born babies with no electricity? I suppose if you manage to BF then sterilising bottles and warming them up won't be a problem, but then you still have to charge your breast pump. But just keeping baby warm? I dunno... Any ideas?

Yep, I still haven't done ANY shopping. Now I want to go in an do it all in one big shop. I can't face shopping. Where do you reckon is the best, easiest and cheapest place to shop Baby and Company, Baby City or aarggh what's the other one? ...ummm. LOL preggie brain.

Oh and do I buy all long sleeve vests and the long babygrows or should I get some short sleeve ones as well? I'm thinking about for the first 3 months...

Karienh sorry that you hurt yourself,hope you get help from the GP,I cannot believe that I still have to buy pads, linen savers etc I got a pair of pyjamas and sleepers from the babyshower I think I only have to buy one pair is this enough? Pregnancy come with a lot of planning but the results are awesome that you can't trade it for anything in this world.

Philipajane I also experience shortness of breath most of the time I think it happens when baby changes position as most of the times when it happens my tummy get very hard. I don't know if I should be worried will ask my DR on Thursday.

Afm: nothing really on my side, I noticed that when I am at home I do the countdown more that I use to when I was still at work.baby was giving me a lot of movements that she never gave me before when I was lying down this morning it was so exciting it lasted for about 10min.I managed to pack everything from the baby shower in order, looking at the packing arrangement make me excited that I can't stop looking.Friday I am going shopping for the hospital bag I don't have new born clothes I only have from 0-3months. I need to get some new born baby grows, booties and some winter hats, I am not good at this things as I am a first timer.

TaNasha, I can't imagine how it must make you feel to have to go through another thing like this . I mean come on, give the girl a break! I hope and pray that all will be well. Please take things easy from now on, even if it isn't as easy as it sounds.

No other personals today. Had my almost 37 week gynae visit and it seems this LG will be here by the latest next week Wednesday (20th). Head fully engaged, amniotic fluid much less than a week ago. So gynae thinks she will be here soon (as those 2 things can be a sign) and if not by Tuesday, we will take the induction route on Wednesday as she is worried about the amniotic fluid. I will do everything to bring labour on naturally, because I don't really want to do the induction thing.

Now all of a sudden I wish I had a week more to do the things I need to do. I haven't done my UIF yet, as there was an amount that had to be processed before I could put my new claim in. So I just left it and also thought the next 3 or so weeks will be enough. Now all of a sudden it is becoming critical for me to have it done. Then I also need to figure out what work I need to do before I go on leave and what can I leave for now. I must also arrange with HR to work from home as needed. So many things, so little time ! And what a pitty it is that I will lose out on all the public holidays, as my maternity leave is unpaid leave . But what the heck, I will be meeting my LG in the next 8 days or less!
