Tanasha, shame friend. Bedrest sucks, but best to keep baby in as long as posible. This pregnancy is realy not good on you! Strongs! Hope she stays in till at least 34w.

Afm. Tummy stil unsettled. Pharmacy gave me buscopan, luckily I read the insert first, it says not to use during pregnancy. Why the heck did they give it to me then. Shouldnt they know better? Anyway, going to bed now with a warm water bottle. Hope its better tomorrow. I hate tummy bugs!

MsDee your baby shower sounds as if it really was amazing! I'm so delighted for you

I'm trying to use my laptop tonight - first time in ages and I have a problem...how do you use a laptop when you have no more room left on your lap?

I have been MIA for a while but am official a work-at-home mom now so hopefully will have more time!

I am 30 weeks today - caesar tentatively booked for the 13 June. Baby is HUGE - was 1.4kg 10 days ago

TaNasha hun, I don't believe it. You poor thing. I'm so glad the contractions stopped and that you didn't dilate. Wow, what a time you are having. As long as everything is ok with you and your little princess. Hang on tight

Esmari, are you feeling any better?

AFM: Well i spent last night in the hospital - we had family and friends over Sunday for my birthday and I was abit unconfortable all day, but I just thought it was braxtion hicks and carried on as normal. Then after everyone left I took a nap and woke up with the worst ever pain in my lower tummy. It came and went and when i went to the toilet I had some blood. Totally freaked out I called the midwife and she came and did an internal and said it feels like my cervix had dropped. We then went to the hospital and they did lots of internals and I was hooked up to one of those things that measure contractions. Luckily I was not dailated and eventually at 3 AM the pain stopped. I was released this afternoon and now I am on strict bedrest. They told us to prepare ourselves for going into labour sooner than we thought, but untill 34 weeks they will do everything to stop it. Just another thing the pregnancy monster has brought us! I feel so fed up now. But I am happy everything is ok now and my precious little girl is still safe in my tummy for now.

Other than that I had a wonderful birthday and we had an amazing 4 D scan, will post some photo's later.

So i was supposed to meet my friends for lunch on saturday... I started getting suspicious when the one called to make sure i would be coming on friday. But still i didn't want to get myself excited for nothing. & then on saturday morning another friend asks me to meet her at my sister's so we could use one car to drive to the place. Then i just knew.

It was so beautiful and tasteful. Thanks to my sister who specified that i had more than enough baby clothes, i got very good presents.

Just a quick, general post:

I will update the list with some extra info soon. And Esmari, you must please take over the list as soon as my LG is born. I can see on the other threads that the new mommies don't get time to update it that often.

To the ladies who had their baby showers, glad you enjoyed it. Enjoy packing away all the stuff, it's part of the fun.

To the ladies who are not well, you have my empathy... I wish I could get over my stupid cold. My poor LB also has it now and his tonsils are also infected. I really hope both of us are well before my LG is born.

To the ladies in the last stretch, who could imagine that a few weeks could be so long? Every day seems to drag. Every morning I wake up and wish that this could be the day. Just to wake up the next day and realising it wasn't.

To the ladies who get comments about being big/fat, what did the stupid men think would happen to a woman's body when she has to grow a new human being in her bloody tummy? Or did they think that only the tummy will get bigger? Do they think we like it when everything gets bigger, from our faces to our feet? Do they think it is OK to make comments about being fat to a poor hormonal pregnant woman? Don't they think it will be better to be supportive and tell the women they are supposed to love not to worry about that now? Sorry, I had to get that off my chest, as I also got one (luckily only one) comment about that from my DH (damn husband?), even after he impressed me by saying he doen't find me unattractive the way I look now.
