I really need to vent, so no personals. Sorry.

You all remember my sister 'putting me down' regards me starting to study?
Anyway, she has managed to work my bp up again!
So, this coming looong weekend, we have a chuche 'conference'. It starts thursday evening, and only ends wednesday. So cause we have the same beliefs, I invited my family to come. They dont have to pay anything, and just get here. But my dad has to work, and my mom stays with him. In the end, I was told no one will come, cause she wont have petrol money for her and my brother.

So yesterday she phones me out of the blue. She is trying to get a group of friends together to come down here. So they share the petrol. And she just wants to find out if they can use my house to sleep at, cause her friend (the doctor) doesn't have enouth space (bullshit, she has a 3 bed house and no children). My brother will then go to camp with us, and she may just come for a day.

So, after I invited her, and she said no, she is now coming to visit her friend, and want to use me for a place to sleep, while she knows I am not even here? I am not there to be used. If she wants to visit her friend, wiy not f@?!@ stay with her. Maybe she is ashamed of the friends she is bringing. Or maybe she thinks my house is good enouth for them, but not them for her friends house. So dh said no, if she wants to come visit us, she is more than welcome, but if she is coming to visit her friend, she can stay with her!
So, am I being selfish and stupid for wanting to spend time with my sis I see maybe twice a year!

Karienh, how are you feeling today? Can't be easy getting around on crutches at 7 months. I can barely manage on my own two feet. My balance has gone to the dogs.

Thanks PhillipaJane, I'll go look at PnP. I'm a horrible shopper and really need a shopping assistant, esp. since it feels like pregnancy has taken away my ability to make decisions.

Tanasha, your room looks so pretty! But now I'm also worried that I don't have enough clothes.

Thamu, great news on the VBAC - hope you have less stress from now on.

Esmari, so glad that it sounds a bit more positive for your SIL. It must be really hard on her not to have her husband around.

Solo, you've been so quiet. Is everything okay?

AFM: My leg is a strained or lightly torn calf muscle and of course the dr. couldn't do anything for me. He wanted to send me for an ultrasound of my leg but said if something is wrong all they'll tell me to do is rest. So, I've decided to give it till tomorrow and if it's not better, I'll go for the ultrasound. Luckily it seems to be better.

Had my 32 week dr visit yesterday (so much fun using my crutches in public...not) And everything is perfect! Baby measures a week ahead and weighs 2kg. It feels like such a milestone to have him over 2kg. And his head is still big, it measures at almost 36 weeks.

I just wonder how accurate these measurements are. Because I'm sure they can't know if they get the circumference of his head at exactly the right place. And they calculate the weight on measurements, but what if he is really fat or really thin? I guess we'll see when we meet him.

I got all my nappies in the mail yesterday - so excited to have everything!

Claire, enjoy your last week, soon you will have your precious LB with you! I cant wait to hear how it went and offcourse see lots of cute photos!!

LOL I have not changed my mind, my gynae said sorry for you, you are having a c-section, I had a scary week with contractions and put strain on my LB so not a good sign. I wanted natural, but its all good...

Esmari - how is your SIL and baby - shoo wee?

TaNasha - the room is coming along nicely how are you feeling? you have no idea how irritated ppl are going to get (I mean family) that you do not mention lg's name - our family has gone crazy about this and really it affects their lives in no way whatsoever ha ha ha

Just back from the Midwife, she was great and she is arranging that i deliver at the Semi Private - she will be my Primary Care Giver and so we are back to where i started this journey really. She is Sandy Standish and operates form Muizenburg. So for now am now confident of my VBAC journey as she says that since i had a normal birth 1st i am at the same level like any other woman to have a natural birth. So we are both upbeat and DH is happy with hte new proposal as it is more financially sound.
