Hi Gabs

sorry to hear that you have not been well, but glad to hear that you are recovering in the comfort of your home.

I will be delivering at wilgeheuwel, my bed is booked and most of the forms have been filled and handed in.

let us know how the classes go tonight, I decided against going to the ante-natal classes but do have fun tonight.

sorry to hear about your gynae - my gynae is doc Schulz...I love him to bits and the best thing for me is that he is excited with you through all the milestones of foetal development. their practice is gynomed which is also a fertility clinic and they are also based within the hospital premises.

I hope you come right soon.

Hi Ladies!

How is everyone doing - its seems most of us have not been doing to great.
I am recovering from the pnuemonia I had - still at home, but it just seems like im taking forever to get better. Luckily I am home, in my nice warm bed instead of out in the cold.

We are starting antenatal classes at Wigeheuwel tonight - has anyone else started classes yet?

Who is going to deliver at Wilgeheuwel? My gynae from Bedford Gardens says he won't deliver my baby at Wilgeheuwel, so I need to find a gynae this side.

So I have read about hubby's having sympathy symptoms - and I am totally convinced that mine is! He is getting a bit of a tummy (nothing to hectic), he has been having the worst mood swings, he has also got a very itchy tummy and he told me last night he thinks he has hemorrhoids! I could not help but laugh - i really haven't been that emotional and no itchy tummy and definitely no hemorrhoids so far. Its actually kinda nice that he suffers a bit also during the pregnancy - does that sound to harsh???

Going through heartburn and backpain hell today for some reason.....

Hi everyone,

With regards to feeding bras - a friend of mine who had her baby last month said the best thing she bought was the carriwell drop cup bra (I think she got the 'sports bra style one) and I shouldn't waste my money on the Woolies ones. I had planned on getting the woolies ones as they are R140 for two! But now reconsidering. Haven't seen the t-shirt bra type though Tracey - will keep an eye out for them as they sound nice too! I hate wearing bras and never wear underwire ones. One of the first things I usually do when I get home is whip my bra off....ha ha :P So definitely need to find a comfy feeding bra! Hapi - I hear some women prefer to just use normal bras as feeding bras aren't nearly as supportive...you'll probably just have to try stuff on and see what works...

Laliek - 28 July! Woohoo! How exciting! Gonna be difficult being patient till 2pm but I'm sure you'll find lots of last minute things to do to distract yourself ;)

Hapi - Hope you can last till 01 August too!
I sometimes wish my Bump was heavier so I could 'feel pregnant' more of the time....ha ha. Sometimes I forget I have a bump and scrape it with the cupboard door or somehting cause I'm not standing far enough away from it ;) And hugging my best friend who is also preggies has become quite comical!

Ankia - glad you are feeling better today! And make sure you drink lots of water to make sure you flush out the last of the infection. I'm a bit prone to them but luckily haven't gotten one while pregnant. My midwife said if I get one I mustn't take citra soda like usual and rather get it seen to. Can become serious if not gotten rid of quickly. So just be mindful....

Hope you all have a good day!

Morning All,

Hope everyone had a good night's sleep.

Gosh the weather here in Cape Town is CRAZY! Even I can get blown away.

It's terrible, didn't sleep cause of the terrible sounds and the fact that it's lifting my roof! URGH i wish hubby was home.

I'm off now to go for a back massage, the pain is insane.

Tracey, I think we have to meet up, and Skai you joining us?

Gotta run, I'll be back.

Hugs to all you lovely ladies.

xxx

Morning Girls

and I shall say it again ... Skai ... always the voice of reason. thank you so much for the advise, it makes sense.

Laliek & Ankies, the support is much appreciated.

Haley, c-sec is tentatively booked for 01 August though edd is actually 18 Aug.Condition of my uterus and their weight will determine if indeed it is 01 Aug (im really hoping we can hang on til then but my bump is really heavy)

Wow Lalie, Cameron will be here soon. Dont mind the weight- you will be fine. Tell me about those Carriwell panties, saw them at dischem . I got mine from Woolies, about R210 for 3,I think, all black. So , it is darn expensive

As for feeding bra's, Im not sure hey. As Im a DD cup (well, normally) will check what woolies has. I really like my boobs to be well supported and from what I have seen, feeding bra's dont really give that much support.

Hi Ankia,

Would love to but I'm based in Cape Town, northern suburbs (Durbanville).

So I guess the Cape Town ladies should start organising something too :)

Enjoy it, and take lots of pics so you can post them here on the forum :)
