Advice re amniocentesis

Solo I'm turning 44 this year so my calculations is way wrong!! All I know about my pregnancy is that I was HUGE and had feet like bricks. Other than that it was ok, just don't want to be preggies again.

Solo, yes it is rather painful and especially freaky when I turn or get up and can hear the joints creaking!! It started in my 2nd month of pregnancy already, so it has been a long road for me, but I just keep on telling myself that it would all have been worth it when I have my LB in my arms!! Everything seems bearable when I think of my little angel or when I feel him move! It really is the best feeling in the world!

Well done on walking out on your BF - it seems it was what he needed to catch a wake up call! People (men) need to realise that babies don't always come when they are planned - in fact, we usually plan our lives so far ahead that we never get around to having a baby and one day you wake up and realise it is too late. So it really is a blessing, even if it happened unexpectedly!

I'll definitely tell my friend about you. Her BF had better come around quickly - she's always wanted children and he knew that and she's been super considerate to have waited this long - they've been together over 5 yrs!

Ara I'm 38 now - was 37 when I fell pregnant.

Hehe I know what you mean about the energy tho - it's been hard getting through this pregnancy being "older" and I know being a mommy will require way more energy. Luckily I have a very active and supportive husband who is 6 yrs younger than me, so he will be a huge help!

I've been reading this post only now, can't believe i'f missed it. Congrats on the pregnancies and I happy to see that it is going well.

Well I've also had an amnio and have a very happy active 28mnth old boy. Gave birth when I was 40 and I must say he is the best thing EVER that happened to me. Just don't have the energy some days, but I try not show it.

How old are you ladies if I may ask??

Solo I have very severe pelvis pains due a condition called SPD (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symphysis_pubis_dysfunction) and am battling with walking and sleeping as a result, but am fine otherwise.

I'm SO glad to hear that your BF has changed so much! That is just fantastic news!! A close friend of mine (42) heard yesterday that she is pregnant and her BF said he never wanted kids, so I'm just hoping he comes around to being happy about it very soon too!

Tanasha I'm sure your MA in the Netherlands will cover both procedures! I wish you all the best with the procedure and please let us know the outcome! (BTW, how old are you?)
