Hello Ladies
@Lindy, hey girl

The graco ultima is shorter in height compared to the chelino coyote. I am short aswell and both Graco and Chelino are comfy for me. But I would prefer getting a pram thats not too short coz my dh is 1.92 so LOL he would look weird pushing a shorter pram. But besides the height, for me I want the pram to last. I don't want to have to transfer to stroller later. And something I noticed, the chelino wheels look more durable than the Graco. I love both Graco and Chelino, so its hard to choose. But what caught me about the Chelino is that you can really fold it with one hand easily.And it folds quite compact for a biggish pram. For me its very similar to the Graco deluxe. Ok now I am starting to sound like a salesman

About choosing Kingsway - In Richards Bay I was with 3 of the "best" gynaes for 2 years and they just didnt help me, actually made me worse. In Jan this year we saw Dr Naidu at Kingsway (he is a fertility specialist and gynae). We did our first month of injections and trying naturally, didnt' work. So I thought Feb he would just let us try again, nah he put me on a program for our first IUI and it worked. And even after finding out we are preg, we tried a popular local gynae and he was so insensitive. Raised his eyebrow because we went for treatment. So we just felt so comfortable with Dr Naidu at Kingsway that we will just stick with him. He is the most passionate doctor I have ever met, and we trust him with everything. Its hard for our families to accept, but no one will understand how long we tried for this precious bundle and like any parents to be we want to protect this little one.

Our local hospital is also under construction not that that was a deciding factor. Anyway Dr Naidu has our best interests at heart. Every scan he uses his own dvds to record our scans and he gets excited seeing bubs too. So far he wants to do a scan a month until my 7 month and after that every 2 weeks. Guess thats coz I am high risk.
As for SAHM part - Like you I also have alot of drama at work but the main reason for choosing to be a SAHM, we dont have decent daycare here and if you find one you can pay anything from 1500-2000. And none of them open at 5 when i have to go to work. My DH had a stroke when he was 19 so he doesnt have use of his right arm. So he won't be able to pick up a newborn. We also did a comparison if I had to work and if I had to stop. If I carried on working we would land up paying more money than what we have. My company sucks, they only pay like a grand for the duration of the maternity leave. And we are on discovery classic comprehensive which means we will pay in. And in my contract it states if I take maternity leave, i have to work it back. I work 45min away from our house, which would mean if I needed to get to bubs I wouldn't be able to because of the time it takes to get home and also because I am a manager and not allowed to leave my unit unattended. FAMILY does not exist in our company. Its really sad. I wish I could work flexi hours but in the hospitality business that just doesnt exist. On the other hand once bubs is 2 he/she will go to creche and I will return to work.
Its so hard to think of everything when you are expecting. Because we are all either in our 2nd trimester or heading for it, and thats kinda when you realize that it really isnt long before baby arrives, and you wonder if you have everything in place financially. But like people say, you can never be 100% ready for a baby. But you can only try your best. Then I look at people who live on the street with a baby, that child gets fed yet they dont have the luxuries we have. I mean all I can think for now, while I am working I will be stocking up on nappies, toiletries, pet food and cleaning detergents.
How is everyone else feeling? What are your thoughts on your precious bundle arriving? Do you think you are ready?
Sorry for blabbering on like that, just thought I'd share my thoughts and fears.
Has anyone done one of those urine gender tests?
