Oktober & November 2011 Mammas

Hallo there..

We had the nicest weekend in a very long time!! Went to the doctor this morning and babs is doing great. He weighs approximately 620 grams and was sucking his hand while doc was doing the scan. Can't wait for him to arrive!! I gained 7.1 kg's to date, but think after today it is 10 kg's. I already had a chicken and mushroom pie, half a chicken patty(left overs from last night), a "vetkoek" AND a small tex. Jeepers it is a lot

Elrike - Ek het met my eerste swangerskap vir my ook 'n snuggle pillow gekoop, en dit werk regtig baie lekker, veral hier na die einde se kant toe. Ek het hom ook gebruik met borsvoeding, vir die rukkie wat ek het. Sterkte met jou rug, my rug pyn net 'n bietjie dan wil ek iets oorkom, so dink aan jou!!

I also caved at that Woolies sale yesterday and bought a few cute things, and I am only 25 weeks! haha!

Hope you all enjoyed your woman's day, its been a while since i have visited here, can seem to keep up with you ladies. But im glad to see everyone doing so well.

Im going for my check up today and cant wait to see my lil girl, hope she is really growing up ok and we will hear good news like the last time. i am so nervous, i guess this happens to all 1st time mommies. By the way i am due on the 1st November and its a girl, my gynie said im 27weeks and 5days, just curious to know when can i start buying stuff for the baby? there was a massive sale at Woolies and i couldint resist all those cute lil out fits, so i bought a few and a receiving blanket , but got a huge lecture from my inlaws telling me why am i starting to buy things so early,i should wait till eaight months , i need advice. was i wrong to start buying and is there an appropriate time to start doing so?

Hope you all had a well rest long weekend! Mine was "lekker" but busy! Had so many things to do... But it was fun!

We are doing great, just my back is getting worse... Sometimes at night I can't move... The pain is in my hips. Feel like pins sticking in the bones... I slept last night with a pillow under my hips / bump and one btween my legs... Will go a get me a preggy roll today, sure that will help a bit! My back is not so sore this morning...

Hello to all the other ladies. Hope you and your bubs are growing

AFM- We are doing well. Had a little scare on Saturday midnight. Went to loo and when I wiped I had a pink show. Don't know why. Have no contractions or pain. Just sensitive on the stitch. Felt so guilty coz when it happened I woke hubby and quickly packed a bag. But then there was no more pink wipe so told hubby to just add another two bricks under my bed and I rested. But then I was wondering all Sunday if bubs was ok. So my sister said I must phone maternity ward (I don't know these things lol). Phoned them and the sister says it sounds normal but to phone the gynae on Monday and check with him. So this morning I phoned and although he was in theatre, his receptionist phoned back saying that as long as bubs is moving and I have no pain I'll be ok. But then this afternoon she phones back asking how I feel etc and that Dr wants to see me tomorrow at 10.30. I felt bad coz its a public holiday. She says don't worry he insisted. So nice to see drs that still really care.
So we are excited to see bubs again. Cant wait to see how much he has grown. LOL with my bed now being higher by my feet, the heartburn is killing me. But anything to keep this little man inside. Gaviscon helps at least.
We got our pram on friday. Put it together. Then Saturday we wanted to pack it away and the lever to collapse it doesnt work. So now we waiting for a replacement. Was so bummed. But other than that we love the pram.
