Lizel thanks I do feel a bit better now. Man lief het nou net my gebel om te se hy is jammer hy het so gesnap. Ek was noggal geskok hy vra amper nooit onverskoning nie. Dit is stunning van jou ouers wat nog so verlief op mekaar is.

Sorry ladies just another quick idea on the decor. Allot of the party shops sell those characters on polystyrene then you also don't have to mess up your walls you just stick it on with pres-stick. I am blessed enough that my stepbrother is a very good artist so I just go and buy the polystyrene and he draws the characters for me and then I paint it on...(I did that for my SIL her theme was Winnie the Pooh) it looks so cute. Or if you can buy the stickers stick that onto polystyrene and just cut it out with a surgical blade. just be careful those are very sharp but available at any pharmacy. I found that painting was the cheapest as 3 big sheet of polystyrene was R30 and the paint about R100 and blades R30.

Liz, jammer oor jou pa ek hoop regtig hy is ok. Moenie stres nie dinge gaan uitwerk, ek hoop jou ma besef sy het n goeie man. Hoop hul werk hulle dinge uit want jy en jou suster is besog om onder te lei wat onnodig is. Jou magie sal nog daar kom ek was daar 36/35 weke swanger gewees

Lindy, sorry about the argument with hubby I am sure you will get it sorted. Me and hubby had last week a argument and I cant remember what it was about. I get very upset easily the last few months so I blame the pregnancy. We also cant agree on a name atleast there is still time.

Julle praat so van jul ouers wat baklei - dit is een ding wat ek baie dankbaar oor is... Ek ken dit glad nie! Ek en my man het al verskil, maar nog nooit op mekaar geskree of so iets nie! Ek sal dit ook nooit doen nie! Ietsie interessants: My oupa en ouma was 65 jaar getroud, en hulle het tot die dag van hulle dood hande vasgehou. Dit was altyd so sweet om dit te sien - mens kon sommer hulle liefde vir mekaar sien. My oupa is 2 maande na my ouma dood. Hy kon letterlik nie sonder haar lewe nie! Mag dit vir ons elkeen so wees, dat mens tot die einde toe oneindig lief bly vir mekaar!

Ons het vanoggend weer gaan swem, maar vanoggend was dit vir my die koudste wat dit nog was die winter! Tot Luwan het gebewe in die water!!En diw water was tog 30grade C, so ek verstaan nie. Weiss het ook nie van die koue water gehou nie - hy het my lekker geskop...!

Lizel - jou foto's met Zelri is stunning - ek het nie maternity foto's laat neem met Luwan nie... Ek het half eintlik vergeet dat ek dit nog wou doen... Ek wil probeer kyk of ek hierdie keer foto's kan laat neem!

Kiara, thanks for the advice. Dh and I both love the stickers you can get, we even saw Game has nice ones too BUT our house has textured walls so stickers won't work bummed coz the stickers are cute and easily removable too. Anyway my eldest brother gave me a very good idea which I thought I'd share. For us we didnt really want to paint directly on the walls coz of the cost implications in the future etc...So my brother suggested making like a fake wall from ply wood. Cut the ply wood to fit the wall you want and paint it the same as your normal wall and then paint whatever you want. When baby has outgrown the theme you just remove and still have plain painted walls.
So I am going to share some ideas, which I don't mind if anyone uses. I think you all have been thinking about your baby rooms.
Since I will most probably only have one salary left before becoming a SAHM, we don't want to spend a fortune on decor. But still want something cute and colourful. Our baby room is nice but lacks colour for stimulation etc.
So since I have so much time at home, I spend my days googling lol.
Ok so here goes some ideas:
If you have a ceiling fan, stick some characters on the fan blades. when you are dressing bubs they mostly look up, and even when laying in their cots they will also notice the characters. So almost like a big mobile.
For those wanting to go the wildlife theme route- if you are going to paint like a tree then put a nail and hang a monkey teddy, which creates that 3d kinda effect. I am sure you can do this with a butterfly and flower themed room too.
What we decided to do was to put two fake trees in pots in opposite corners, and hang monkey teddies from them. then Dominique from Moomie sells really nice cut outs. And she says you can stick them with prestik coz they are so light. So no nailing in your walls. Her drawer knobs can also be used on your cupboards. I have also found her tiebacks to be the cheapest I have seen.

LOL sorry for that long post. Just thought I'd share my findings

Lizel those pics are gorgeous! No we haven't spoken about names again we just can't seem to agree. I'm so heart sore just had a huge fight with my hubby !!

Shame Liz I'm so sorry about your dad, I hope you get a hold of him soon. It's a shame about your mom too...shoe she should learn to appreciate the people in her life. My mom is alone and even though I don't get along with her I still feel sorry for her cause life can get very lonely if you have no one around.

I am soooooooooo mad at my husband at the moment I don't know if it's hormones or what but we just had the stupidest argument and yet it feels terrible I just wanna cry!

Aaaaw Tanz, baba is definately smiling, so cute!!!!

I'm just very sad today, burst out in tears now....my sister sent me an email, telling me she woke up of a terrible screaming this morning. She looked outside and found my dad in foetal positition on the ground. We suspect it is kidney stones or something. Even the neighbour came out to see if everything's okay. When he stood up from the ground, covered in sweat, he climbed in his bakkie and went to work. He's on the road the whole day, and I'm so so so worried about him. He's not answering his phone. My mom says she spoke to him and he says he's okay, but I'm not so sure. I don't think she cares much for him. They make me worry so much!!! I just want to cry my eyes out!

Lindy, Thanks I will go and have a look. Have you guys talked names yet now that you know it is a girl?

Liz, sorry about your parents, hope your mother learns to appriciate your father. Life is short. My parents make me sick they are still so in love with each other

Hubby is playing action cricket tonight I dont know if I am going to go, my LG is sick again with last weeks cold front I really wish this winter will pass
