Yip - Simone, try to stop with the egg thing til 12 weeks. as Karate mom says, the uncooked eggs bacteria is a no no! I also had one runny egg, but then I hated how bad i felt that I could have caused harm.. so i VERY resentfully stopped! Ive been a bit naughty with nasal spray - every few nights if i cant go back to sleep.. so ive stopped that too now! its all fine and well while its going well, but if dissaster struck, we would KICK ourselves!

Well, I ran out of my glucophage meds yesterday and you CANNOT believe how hungry i was!! for the gals that dont know, I take them for slightly high glucose and insulin, so it makes you feel like you have to eat NOW~~! as you have insulin spikes. The pills regulate the kidneys release of insulin.. I Only found out i had this problem in January when I went off the pill and my cycle was 54 days long! blood tests confirmed the problem..

Maryka - enjoy not having any symptoms for a LITTLE bit longer! your time will come! The journal idea is lovely. I kept all my scan pics and after my baby shower, my sister had made me a scrapbook with some marriage photos, then preg photos then shower photos, so I added all the scan picks and some birth pics with the hospital tags and all the welcome baby cards. So I will definately do that again!

Marina - what kind of work and office do you have that you could bring your pillow - how jealous am I! Marina - Your first baby is soooo special! Glad to you and the other first timers here.. As second time moms, We may think we know it all, but i believe that the second time around most moms have such a completely different experience that it can feel like the first time all over again!

Morning ladies

Hope you all had a great night sleep, I for once have, didn't woke up with pain nor was nausea during the night, it started all again this morning, but I am just grateful for a good nights rest behind me.

Karatemum - it might be partly bloating, but not totally. I read online about gas pains and that seems more like the problem. I think my intestine is blocked, so I am watching what I am eating and drinking.

I got my second result of my blood test back and does it shows that baby is growing fast, I am at 20 000 now. The Gynae made my appointment earlier and am I now going on the 1st of June and not the 8th, I am so excited.

M2b - did you hear from your GP? When I had the flu, she said that I am not allowed to have anything, not even Panada. She did prescribe a nasal and mouth spray, I don't know the name, but it is one spray with a nose and mouth piece included with a orange bag. But I think the best is to wait for your GP to tell you what to take.

Simone - I am glad the interview is over; hopefully the stress is now less?

Nelia - I am so jealous of you going for your 1st appointment today. Enjoy!

Maryka at 5w I was also just craving salti stuff, dry salticrax! So let's see if we're having boys! With Addison though I craved salty, lemony stuff. Used to eat lemons with salt and nando's sachets of peri peri sauce???? Ha ha

Simone- I hope they don't keep you waiting too long. Its awful the waiting, but I'll still hold thumbs.

I'm also a lot more relaxed about what to eat....but to tell the truth, I don't really have an appetite at ALL. So there is not much I eat at this moment.
Lost 2 kg since the nausea began.

My boobs are also very sensitive, if the kids lie down beside me and think its their pillow I want to climb through the roof!

Maryka, its a very good plan to keep a journal. I decided with this one I am going to scrapbook the whole event from beginning to end. I'm one of those who starts a project but never fiinishes it (bad trait, I know)......but this time!

So tomorrow is my first visit to the doc. So excited, but nervous what we''ll find....one or 2. But whatever....I'll love him/her/them to bits!

Simone - goodness I think I need a pillow that I can leave here at the office lol, don't think a keyboard impression on the side of your face is too sexy! The egg thing is that egg can carry bad bacteria so it's safer to cook them through properly rather than risk it. But then hey I've been munching happily on biltong cos I craved it so got it! I think you are always so super safe in your first then a bit more relaxed with the second!

My boobs are also super sore, I can't wait to get home and go bra-less

Maryka - wow you are lucky with the no symptoms! I also loved salty crackers with my first pregnancy, apparently it's a sign you're having a boy, I did! So I guess you'll see! This time I'm craving sweet things, so we'll see

How you all doing today ?

I don't have much to say today so I am just reading this whole thread and kinda getting to know you all !

I am now 5 weeks with no symptoms as yet. So I quess that is a good thing. I can just not seem to get enough of salt crackers - not cause I feel sick but just cause it tastes like heaven. WEIRD !!!! Dry salty crackers taste like heaven ..... OMW so weird.

My first dr's appointment is 15 June and that feels like a year away. But all in good time. Before I know it, it will be Christmas and time to go to hospital. LOL

This will be my second baby. With my first I kept a journal of my whole pregnancy and I have started one again. With my first I got sick between 6 and 7 weeks. So if it goes the same next week will be D-day .... LOL I have to be VERY VERY carefull NOT to compare the whole time.

Simone... surprisingly enough, whenever we say/think interviews went bad, we get the job lol... so dont give up hope just yet....

I just called my GP to check what i can take... she's busy and will call me back..

The boobs, OMG,Painful.... but the worst pain is having the breast full of milk just after your lo is born and starts drinking.. EINA.... I didnt know anything about nipple cream and then the nurse recommended Lasinoah.... a true blessing shooh...

I'm also much more easy going with what i eat etc this time. i really am disliking fish right now though
