Carli Mone Potgieter (not the english Carly the afrikaans Karlie)

When DH and I just startes dating we went to a park to have a picnic. A little girl named Carli kept coming to talk to us and we both fell in love with the name.

Before I even fell pregnant we knew we were going to call our baby girl Carli or Morgan, but Morgan just did not feel right.

I wanted her to have a second name and Mone was the only one we liked that actually went with Carli.

We named our little boy Asher! My husband and I are Jewish, and we wanted a name that was could be both his "english" and hebrew name. Asher means happy, blessed! this name truely fits both my LO and us as parents. He is such a happy baby and us as parents - well....we just feel so blessed!

My older son sulaiman was named after solomon in the bible/quraan and my husbands late uncle had the same name. One of his other cousins who is a few months older has the same name and we didn't know. Never liked the name and sadly still don't probably because my husband went behind my back and told everyone he is called sulaiman when i wanted him called mohammed nur which means light. My second sons name is abdul hakeem which means a wise servant of Allah. Im living with my parents and i bought a book of muslim names which i left on a table. They refused to help with a name with sulaiman cos he isn't a christian..anyway they both got pen and paper and starting going through the book. My dad chose two names and my mom had a long list. A few days later my dad had a very bad stroke so i looked at the two names my dad chose and wanted to use a name he chose to honour my dad. It was either hakeem or haleem.. Haleem is a soup eaten during the fast. And i wasn't going to call him that. I spoke to my mom and told her i chose hakeem and why and if she could please choose between abdul or mohammed because you have a name before hakeem. She chose abdul. So thats how he got his name. The strange thing is that my husbands late dads name was abdul haque which means the same thing and neither of my parents knew his name. I registered his name and then only told my husband his name cos i wasn't taking any chances. My husband loves the name and couldn't believe that it was so similar to his dads.. He actually pointed it out to me cos i didn't think about it.

Kyle refers either to a narrow body of water between two land masses, my intepretation is that Kyle's dad & I represent the two land masses & he is the body of water between us

Oratiloe means the beloved like John the beloved in the bible

My little boy is Matthew ( gift from God) Gabriel ( arc angel).

My little girl is Sarah ( princess) Rose. Rose is after my late Grandmother.

I struggled a bit to fall pregnant with my little girl. I had a lot of names i liked but when she was born, we decided on Oyisa (we have conquered) and Rorisang (praise God).

I felt like the names were truly fitting as we had conquered and it's all because of Him, so I just want to praise Him.

My next baby will be Resego (we are blessed) second name Oyena (the One- as in Jesus is the One)......
