My eldest son's name is Cael which means victorious and my younger son's name is Björn which means strength.

Both names were chosen after their birth and they both just suite their names so well!

My little girl is named Riley.

Just always always liked the name, I feel it's a name with so much character. We decided it was going to be Riley either, boy or girl, but we ended up having a girl :)

If we have another little one, I quite like the name Colby, once agin for a girl or boy (we kinda like Unisex names ;) ) and I like Denzel for a boy.

My other favourite for a girl is Rhiannon, after the Fleetwood Mac song! My fav band!

Meanings:

Riley - Courageous
Colby - LOL, something about charcoal
Rhiannon - goddess

Nels:Nyiko is a Tsonga name and yes it means gift.Wow I thought you were Tsonga yet again it tells me that you can give a child any name from any culture as long as you know the meaning.

Carmel:Wow the meaning of your baby's name is powerful.

Victo:You and DH are creative even if I wanted to do that eish I wouldn't cause mine and DH's names don't match.

We decided to give our kids the same innitials as us. (We're not into the whole family names thing)

We decided on Michayla for my daughter (M - for Monique) - meaning "Who is like God"

And my son Stian (S - for my husband Steven) - meaning "Follower of Christ"

So the boys in the house is SvB and the girls MvB. :)

My beautiful daugter born on the 23rd of February 2007 @ 40 weeks, induction, natural delivery with epidural. Weighed 3,25kg at birth.

My gorgeous son born on the 23rd of June 2009 @ 40 weeks, induction, natural delivery. Weighed 3,28kg at birth.

While pregnant with my daughter, I decided I would name my daughter 'Nicola' after my maternal grandfather, 'Nicholas' who I never had the chance to meet. My ex husband didnt want to know anything of the name so we decided we would come up with a name we both liked and which couldnt be shortened. We decided on 'Ava' 'meaning bird' in Latin and 'breath of life' in Old English. We also didnt want any second names until my maternal great grandmother came to me three weeks before my due date and asked me to give my daughter her 3rd name 'Inez'.Inez meaning pure became my daugher's 2nd name. Ava Inez.

Both my fiance and myself decided long before we fell pregnant that should we have a son he would get his paternal grandfather's name as a second name. Douglas meaning 'Black river'. We both loved the name Tristan meaning 'Bold' in Latin. Also the name of one of the knights of the round table. Tristan Douglas

Should I have another boy I want to call him 'Sloane Richard'. Sloane meaning 'man of arms or warrior' and Richard meaning 'powerful leader'. Richard also being his maternal grandfathers name. I havent decided on a girls name.

We struggled for 5-6 years to have baby. We decided that we would name him Joshua. I went to Israel on pilgrimage and wrote two names on prayer lists wherever I went in Israel - Joshua and Eme [short for Emily - my grandmothers name]

Upon return to SA, we went for IVF. Until we found out about the sex, baby was Joshua according to family, friends and church members. I chose the name - The Hebrew name Joshua means - God is my salvation. Bible: led the Israelites into the Promised Land.

Ww then found out that baby was a GIRL. I changed the name from Eme to Emlin-Joy Azaria. Emlin: after my grandmother. Joy: [weeping may endure for the night, but Joy comes in the morning]. Azaria: Hebrew - Helped by God.

We decided that if we were going to have another blessing, which happened to be a boy, his name would be Joshua.

Hi LADIES,

Very interesting names and meaning.

My LB name was decided by me and DH 2 years before I even got pregnant, we just asked each other that if ever in the future we have a baby what we will call him/her ;) ;) .

So we decided since my name is Tendani and his is Ronny, we thought of the perfect name for our child and it was:

Tendani + Ronny = Thero.

So our son’s name who is 11 months is Thero which means Sermon.

I love it. and I think if we have another one we will probably invent it from our names.

First LB: EDD 18 June 2010- Natural, Femina Women's Hospital
