Congrats again Shonna!

AFM: I am doing ok. Quite tired at times and also getting joint pains in my hands etc. Went for follow up bloods yesterday count went up to 590.7 - so happy!

Morning Ladies,

Dinky, It's ok to feel paranoid. I think we have all been there. Just something interesting I read today. If you can see the baby's heartbeat on an ultrasound at around 7 weeks, there is a 97% chance that the pregnancy will continue!

DTS, I hope you feel better soon.

Chantel0912, thanks for posting the ultrasound pics, they are awesome!

Tired today, but I think its because we had school concert last night. Looking forward to a nice quiet evening tonight. Tomorrow, it is Lene's yearend closing and prize giving for her ballet classes. We will also be getting the exam results. I am looking forward to that!!

Hi Ladies, sorry have not be on for a while, busy at work :(

Congrats Dinky :)

Thank you for all the advice ladies,

I am on Centrum materna, dr says i need to start Centrum materna DHA when i am 12 weeks, he says it has all the vitamens i need plus i need to have 2 portions of fish a week, but i am not allowed to have Norwegion salmon at all, and no liver till 12 weeks.

been feeling really tired these past few days, and had hemmeroids, dr says its common early in pregnancy, the morning sickness has started, i eat dry crackers as soon as i wake and have been eating green apples, it seems to be helping.

Chantel - how was your scan.

@hasie, will def be contacting you,

love to all

Ok. I think it's more than 400mg - can't remeber exactly. Have a box of PregvitMR in the cupboard, will switch to those tomorrow. Someone recommended Black Thirn Berry Elixer from Weleda to help with the fatigue - haven't checked it out yet.

As you say - not much you can do even if the count does decrease. Not sure if the extra bloods will make me feel better or more anxious...for now taking it one day at a time. Was thinking of getting a few of the Clearblue Digital tests that show how many weeks you are and doing one at the end of the week and again at the end of next week - cheaper than bloods.

My doc's receptionist was so rude to me on Friday, otherwise I would phone my doc and ask what she recommends. Wonder if I can call her on her cell after 4pm...

Don't mean to be paranoid - bear with me I will be more relaxed in a couple of weeks :-)

Dinky, as far as I know, as long as you take 400mg Folic acid, you should be fine for now. However your tiredness may be a shortage of other vitamins, which makes the pregnancy vites so beneficial.

I did not go for follow ups, waited for my first gynae appointment. The sad thing is that in the event of a miscarraige, there is probably nothing that the gynae could have done in the first place to prevent it. I think unless you have severe pain and cramping, or bleeding, you shouldn't worry too much - but try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy. On the other hand if you are stressed too much, and taking the bloods will help you cope, there is really nothing wrong in doing it.

Good luck! I am sure everything will be ok!
