Hi there ladies

I've got alot of replying to do......

mosaneo, beautiful names with beautiful meanings

klk, loving that bump of yours :-)
I love reading all these old wives tales around pregnancy & one of them are that if you are expecting a boy, they give you beauty & when you are expecting a girl, they take away your beauty.....how weird is that!!!!

Magz, It is good that you are keeping an open mind with giving birth as anything can happen & you sort of want to be prepared for it.......
I'm going to do the same with b/f. I want to b/f as long as possible but also want to introduce the bottle before I have to go back to work but will express my milk.
I'm loving all these names with all these beautiful meanings.

Mandri, I can only imagine what you had to go through with the twins & it's understandable why you would opt for c-sec.
Liah is such a beautiful name :-)

Ms_S, How the hell did you manage to go to the movies with sooooo many kids??? I take my hat off to you he he
Very interesting names you've got going there. I've never heard of them & AGAIN, such beautiful meanings.

Jo.Don, so sorry that you had painful experience with your 12 week scan. I don't know why they have to hurt you. My gynae is very gentle & I didn't experience any pain. I would have kicked her & just say "oh sorry, bad reflexes" ha ha ha
I hope the b/f works out for you this time around but if it doesn't, it's not the end of the world....

Marijke, I'm sorry you too had to go through a painful experience when you had your 12 week scan.
I really hope you get to experience the birth that you want & you ditch the pnd this time around. I can only imagine what you had to go through.
Really hope the b/f works out for you as well. B/f is not so easy & it does take some time to get the hang of it & we need support. I gave up in hospital & I just want to kick myself.

babyzee, very nice names you have picked out. I find this whole culture thing around choosing baby names very interesting he he he
I you are definitely not alone, I get so irritated & the tiniest thing makes me snap

AFM, had a lovely but busy weekend - AGAIN. My cousin is going into photography & needs to build her portfolio. She asked me to come & do a free family shoot on sat. The hair & make up was done free as well. I was just loving the pampering. I can't wait to see the photos. It was my friend's birthday as well & we went for dinner that night. There was no play area for my lg so she slept at my MIL's. We took her to the zoo sunday & it was such a lovely day until late afternoon when I started getting a terrible headache. I drank 2 panados but it just didn't want to go away. I didn't sleep well & woke up feeling like my head wanted to explode. I was in tears & my hubby was just massaging my head & neck the whole time but I had to take another 2 panados. I feel like I'm living off pills this time around & I can't take it anymore  I couldn't even go to work!!!

Here is my bump at 16w 4d :

Hi ladies,

I am sorry for butting in here. First of all, congratulations on your pregnancies! I hope the journey this far has been a good one for all of you.

Secondly, I'm sure by now most of you have started thinking of how you want to give birth. I am offering a HypnoBirthing group course in July starting on the 19th and running every Thursday night for 5 weeks. Then I'm contemplating having a Saturday group course running over 3 weeks during August if I can get enough interest.

I am willing to give any of you ladies 10% discount on either of therse courses. Both courses are being held in Pretoria East. Please let me know asap if you are interested.

Thanks! anina@beautifullyborn.co.za

Wow the chat is progressing nicely with lots to read. I am going through another deadline i dont have time to catch up during the day. I have to wait until i get home.

1) Definately breastfeeding did so with my other two babas. My DD for four months and DS for eight months would have loved to go longer but once i went back to work and they got fomula they just refused. This time round i will be a SAHM for a year i plan to bf alot longer.

2)Definately going for a third csec with the first it was an emergency, with the second the baby was pushing on the scar or rather the doc wanted an easier way and this time he says most def a csec and i am happy with it. Just coz its my last.

3) My other two have unique names Nazeerah and Fayaz i would like something unique this time as well. In our culture children are named after their grand parents so for their second names i used my in laws names. Should it be team pink like doc predicts i would like to use my moms name as a second name and call the baby Zahira but my mom insists i use her name as a first name (Mariam). The thing is there are already four other Mariams in the family. I hope she gives up by the time i give birth.

This time round my skin is clear it was the same with DD thats why i also think its team pink. With DS i broke out alot.

Is anyone one else also getting upset over small things? I get this rage boiling inside and sometimes i bark at people lol especially at work people who don't want to think outside the box.

Wow Joybaby, if you drove to Paarl you could have paid only 800 without the dvd, 850 if you wanted the dvd. The 12 week scan was 600 without dvd 650 with.

Jodon, my 12/13 week scan was also painful and very uncomfortable because the sonographer had to push down hard to get through my fat rolls! And every time she went over my c-sec scar I nearly peed myself but baby is low down and still tiny. Was scared of the 20/21 week one but she hardly had to push down and just rolled over with the scanner thingy

My answers to the questions:
i tried breastfeeding with B, had the mother of all nurses milking me for hours because B wouldn't latch. It was painful to sit that long and terribly uncomfy with the c-sec, I felt sore and very sorry for myself, so quit on day 3, basically the moment we got home.

C-sec or normal, to be honest if vbac wasn't even an option I wouldn't be having another child. I looked back at pictures of myself in the hospital with B and it made me cry. I had an emergency c-sec after a failed induction because of failure to progress but I think I might have just been interfering with the docs friday night movie plans or something. I suffered a bit of psd because I felt like a failure and the soreness didn't help. I never look at my scar.

Names: we don't have names picked out yet. It's so exhausting running after a child, working and hubby having his own business so lots of responsibility that we hardly have any time to sit and mull this over!

Hi JoDon.
(Sorry to barge in here but some of u r close to me cos I'm end of October).

I went to Shannon Morris last week for my 22 week fetal anomaly scan and I can tell you she is brilliant! She was detailed and thorough and didn't hurt me at all - although baby was lying perfectly for her.
It cost R1330 for the 22 week scan, just book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Linny Miller at Panorama is also excellent and she has trained most of the other specialists in Cape Town. She gets booked far in advance also and is away till end July so being booked even faster. But u cannot go wrong with her.

First angel resting 25/06/2009 stayed with us a short 7 weeks but we still miss you.
