14 weeks!!!

Sorry for being so MIA but no internet access at work and going on the site from my cell EATS the data! LOL! Do get the emails so try and stay up to date with all of yous!

Had my NT scan last week Thursday and all is 100% with baba! Busy little bugger! The lady who did the scan hurt me something crazy!! Felt like I was kicked in the tummy by a bloody horse!! Was sore till Saturday still! Dont tihnk I will go to her again for the 22wk scan! Anybody has any experience or knowledge of Shannon Morris at Kingsbury? Was thinking of using her next time.

The only bump I have is the jelly belly bump I had pre pregnancy! LOL!

1) Are you gonna breastfeed or not? Going to give it a try! Tried with my 1st baba but she had tongue tie and could not latch properly.
2) Those of you going for c-sections, is it voluntary or due to medical reasons? (note :I'm not here to judge, just curious) Had a Emergency C-Sec 1st time. Was going to do the VBAC thing but my due date is when my doc is on holiday and I am petrified he does not make it back in time and I have to sukkel with another unknown doc! So section it is going to be!
3) Have you thought of any names yet? Dunno what it is yet but with 1st baba we only decided when she was born. I am very bad with names!

Hi everyone!

I was in the movies now with my dh and he's 8 nieces and nephews (shoo, but the movies have gotten expensive! Especially when all the kids insist on having their OWN popocorn and coke!). Just came out now to see all the email notifications! Love the interesting conversation going on

As for me:
1) I'm going natural just because its what everyone in my family does. I'll see how it goes.
2) Going to breastfeed as well, just because its what everyone in my family does too. Also my colleagues will kill me if I formula fed!
3) We've chosen a girls name.. Qirah (means beautiful recitation) and the boys name we not quite sure about yet..either Izaan (means obedience) or Ganief (which is my dh late father's name, and also incidentally my maiden surname which I've chosen to keep. So this makes this choice a little funny)

I also prefer girl's clothing..so cuute. And my dh just wants a lg with two ponytails.

I thought I was the only one experiencing problems with my skin! I'm patiently waiting for that wonderful 'pregnant glow'

momtoc - to answer your questions:

1) Are you gonna breastfeed or not? Sure going to try my best! Want to breastfeed for 6 months at least.
2) Those of you going for c-sections, is it voluntary or due to medical reasons? (note :I'm not here to judge, just curious) C-section. Had to have one when we lost the twins, also not going to try the vbac route, been scared of normal labour all my life!
3) Have you thought of any names yet? After the gynae said he puts his money on a girl, we decided on the name Liah. I wanted the spelling Leah but that means weary and tired, didn't want a negative meaning. Can't remember what Liah means now but it has a very nice positive meaning.

Klk...i know exactly how you feel about your skin! I also have pimples on my chest...but they are definitely getting better as the pregnancy progresses.

Momtoc,
- I’m opting for natural (but keeping an open mind in case things dont go as planned)
- I've chosen to breastfeed and introduce the bottle a little later when I preparing to go back to work.
- DH is Xhosa so his family will help select a ‘manly’ family name. lol *rolls eyes* . But I’ve chosen Akani as a second name which means ‘to build’ (a family).

i am breastfeeding for sure, i enjoyed it with my son, did it until he was 11 months.

the names i have picked will suit both girls and boys, Oratile (he/she love to come now) and Njabulo (happiness).

i am not opting c-sec but i guess i will have to wait for d-day.
