Hello fellow-preggie-moms-to-be

It feels so great knowing its Friday afternoon and pretty soon I'll be home to relax with my family for the weekend! This 5 day week has been quite tough!
Glad to read from all of you, thank you for the kind welcomes!
I feel the most empathy for those going through bitter hardship right now, I pray that the dark cloud will be lifted soon.

I have for the first time experienced minimal nausea today [touch wood]. i felt so good that i even went to gym at lunch! I do hope that the worse week is gone by, i have read from a previous post or somewhere that someone experienced the worst at 6 weeks?! so, we'll see.

@klk... The exact same thing has hapnd! Pains started sunday night, monday got worse, gynae only saw one embryo, tuesday night had the sharpest pains and wednesday morning had the mc go again to the gynae, sees the same results as monday, thursday night sharp pains again and yet again (this morning -Friday 11/05) my 2nd baby doesn't make it ;(....

I feel absolutely terrible cos not one of my babies survived and this was our first pregnancy in 6 years of marriage.

Studies havent been up to standard_wrote my first paper 2may and I knw I failed cos I couldn't study ... Always exhausted and now my next paper in june. Thank u ladies for all the insight but I have no idea when god will give me this opportunity again. Wish u all a happy, healthy and stress free pregnancy ... Hugs!

Hi everyone, sorry for being so quiet recently. I've read everyone's posts, and shoo, so much has happened! 

Congrats and welcome to all the new pregnant mommies! 

Naaz, I'm really praying for you. I can't imagine what you are going through, especially with the added stress of exams. I hope you managing to concentrate on your studies at the moment. I'm sure you have support from both your husband and family, but remember that we are also here for you! 

I hope you have sorted things out with your husband Boomboom, or at least started talking to him and making a way forward.  You haven't posted again, so I hope it's a case of 'no news is good news', and you too busy reconciling . 

Marijke, its funny how inlaws try to get involved, or judge, when they don't really have all the facts. Luckily your husband is on your side, and was suitably upset. I hope he spoke to them, because sometimes as a daughter inlaw you can't really speak up, unless you want the inlaws to hold it against you forever. 

I'm so glad everyone's scans went well, hopefully time will fly till the next one! 

AFM, I went for my first scan yesterday, my baby looks like a little teddy bear with small arms and legs. It was still exciting though, especially when I heard the heart beat. 

Oh naaz, I am so sorry to hear what you are going through. Before I had my son I suffered a MC at 7 weeks. Mine started off with spotting which then became red blood and had terrible cramps. Mine started on a Sunday and by Wednesday is when the actual MC happened. I truly hope that in the next 2 weeks there will be some good news. Will you be going for more blood tests? How far are you? Thinking of you xxx

AFM, nausea seems to be back with a vengeance thankfully still no vomiting. Will pop in later or tomorrow again.

Magz, sounds just like my husband. I made him go with yesterday to drop our little girl off at her new creche and I swear he had red eyes because she clings to him like a koala!

I also found the 12 week scan amazing first time round.

CVANWYK, I also had an emergency c-sec, I was 40 weeks 3 days, got bullied into an induction when my body wasn't ready and it ended with a c-sec. It was very upsetting and I still haven't really made peace with it. This time round I'm going to do my best for a vbac (of course if something is wrong, I won't risk it, but so far everything seems normal) If I didn't have the option of a vbac, I would not have another child. For me it was scary and unnatural and the pain made me give up on breastfeeding because I was feeling so sorry for myself. And there were a couple of weeks that I couldn't sit up and get out of bed quickly enough to do the night wakings.

BoomBoom, so sorry to read about what you are going through. I can't offer any advice since I've never been through something like that but can imagine how painful it is. Big hugs for you too!

2ndtimemommy, welcome. I think I also have a scan on the 28th. Hope your all day sickness gives you a break soon!

klk, how are you doing?

momtoc, I haven't spoken to them. Usually she phones to talk to B some evenings but haven't heard from them since they left. I just hope they realize that for me it's going to take a while to get over. For hubby it was just about veggies, for me it feels more like a personal attack and I asked him to view it that way and give me time.
