Mags hope you feel better soon. I have had 2 c-secs the first was emergency baby went into destress, the second the doctor recommended at 38wks coz my son was pushing on the scar he says chances or rupter are high. It wasent so bad everyone is different and heals differently best is to have a positive mind. This time around doc says i will definately have another csec and i am prepared atleast i get to chose the date baba comes

Isha thats so exciting i go in for my scan in 2wks time i will be 13wks then hopefully the doc tell me the sex. I have decided to keep it a secret from everyone even DH until baba comes. It will be my own special secret

Isha, thats interesting about your baby having to weigh under 3kg for vbac to be considered, i had no idea. will discuss when i visit my gynae. I would also love the experience. my daughter was born via c-section almost 4 years ago...she was breech.

BB, i hope all is well.
Mags, there is some homeopath remedies you can take. But i guess panado is the best bet.

Magz, i had an emergency c-sec. Both my LG and I went into distress. Found out afterwards that my uterus is oddly shaped so i cant give normal birth. Felt abit robbed of the experience, but it was for the best.
I never experienced any pains, only discomfort. But it was all managable.
Would like to try to normal this time, but baby needs to be under 3kg to even consider the Vbac.

How is everyone else?

AFM, been to the gynae monday. Baby is nice and active. Fingers in the mouth. Gynae checked the sex but didnt want to let us know cause he isnt 100%. But after he checked he kept saying "he" so my guess and my feeling is that i have a little hotdog. Already picked up 5kg, think it is because of the hormone tablets i was on. Gynae not worried about the weight at all.

Almost 13 weeks. Next appointment 11 June.

Magz - lol no, not by choice My little boy was a high risk pregnancy with injections everyday and my gynae said that this combined with my poor obstetric history (4 miscarriages prior) he recommends a c-section, good decision because Rowan was in foetal distress and the cord was around his neck. My little girl is 15 months after my previous pregnancy so most gynaes do not recommend a VBAC without a gap of 18 months or more between so again not really a choice.

I am not pro c-section or natural - I am pro choice

Post birth: If you are going the c-section route, I am not going to lie, it is abdominal surgery and you will take time to heal, but you are SO in awe of your baby you forget your painkillers and that makes the pain worse. I did positive mantras everyday about healing and did not listen to horror stories The worst bit for me was being stitched up, but that is a quick 20 minutes and I focused on baba. Take your painkillers is my recommendation
