Isha, I do agree with you regarding not having much pain after c-section but I think the reason for that is you are so focused on the wonderful creation that came out of you that you don't think of the pain & one is definitely up & running the next day
I was unfortunate to experience c-section twice!!!!!! One when I had my lg & the 2nd one last year June when I went in for a laparoscopy & hysteroscopy. When doc wanted to do the hysteroscopy, the scope didn't want to move through my urethra as it was blocked. He had to open them up otherwise the sperm would also have no way to go & the only way he could do that was via c-section again
I'm telling you, the pain is 10 times worse & you definitely feel it constantly. I couldn't walk straight for days & had to take strong pain meds & even that didn't take the pain away completely. So I personally think, having a baby that way definitely takes your mind of the major surgery that actually took place
My lg girl is fine. She kisses my tummy often & talks about her baby LOL.
As for the downs test, it doesn't bother me at all. I'm not concerned about it & either way, the gynae does check for it when he does the scan as they measure everything & measures the fold in the baby's neck but it's your choice if you want to know or not.

Sjoe, can't believe you hit the 12 week mark. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
