Ms_S, Im not going to lie to you, c-section is not a walk in the park but trust me you wont be in bed. Pretty much by the next day you are up and about. If you take your painkillers when you are supposed to it does help. Its not as bad as you are making it out to be.

I had a c-section with my son (emergency) and Im definitely going for one this time round.

Afternoon ladies

I didn't receive any notifications these past few days, so I didn't know all this conversation was going on! Glad to see the new mommies to the forum :)

Naaz, I'm really sorry for you loss. My friend was going through something very similar this past few weeks, and I was praying for you both. I hope the physical and emotional recovery is easy for you.

Thanks shrew for sharing your c-sec experience. My Mother told me to consider doing c-sec just so that it is planned and my dh will be able to be there. The recovery afterwards scares me, and I don't want to spend the entire December and January in bed.

I hope everyone feels better today, whether it was the flu, ms or nausea.

AFM, the nausea has been killing me, and the only way to curb it is if I continuously eat. I've already picked up 5kg, and my husband has noticed. I've spoken to a dietician and she gave me eating plan. I followed it yesterday but I felt so bad that I could hardly work. So now I'm back to eating whatever I see. I'm busy looking up brownie recipes as I type this :)

Hi ladies,

How are you all doing?

Mosa, your ms sounds horrific!! Shame man, definitely talk to your gynae as there are loads of meds out there that can help. Whilst at the chemist the other night, a guy came in looking for meds for his pregnant wife for ms. The chemist gave him 2 things, unfortunately I only got the name of the one thing it was Emex. I know some docs prescribe Vomifene (sp) Apparently eating 2 marie biscuits before you even get out of bed helps as well as sucking on some Lemons.

AFM...MS is still hanging around, some days are definitely loads worse than others. Today im feeling extremely tired, I could easily just crawl back into bed and sleep but its very difficult to do with my maid around. I have been battling with slight cramps these past couple of days. Im just assuming that its my uterus stretching. See my doc again next Tuesday (will be over 10 weeks) then for my 12 week scan I will be seeing my doc that delivered my son and that is where I will be staying until I have my c-section.

How is everyone else?

Good morning ladies

It is so damn cold here in Joburg & looks like we getting the cold front from the Cape tomorrow :woohoo:

babyzee, nice to see you hear again. Glad the mad rush @ work is over & that you can breathe a bit. I know how you feel with waking up tired. I feel like that every single day! I will also be going for my scan in 2 weeks time & I can't wait.

2ndTimeMommy, I wish I could go to the gym again but I just don't have the energy yet & don't feel well @ night. I will wait after the 12th week before I go back. I also want to start doing pilates. They say it is extremely good for pregnant women.

AFM, nothing new. Just taking each day as it comes. The nausea is a bit better today.......getting a bit of a break.
Magz, Are you feeling any better yet? I know there isn't really a lot us pregnant women can drink when we get a cold or flu but the best would be to speak to your GP. You should be able to use normal saline nose sprays to help unblock it. Do you have a humidifier @ home cause you can put eucaluptus drops in that can help ease the symptoms a bit?

Isha, So happy that all is well with you & baby & he or she :-) is already such a little busy body hahaha

mosa, I feel so sorry for you. Your MS is very bad & unfortunately I don't really know what you can do to alleviate it. Maybe speak to your gynae & here what he has to say. Have you tried eating marie biscuits, apparently that helps? I hear sliced apple also seems to help..........good luck.
My daughter will be turning 5 end of oct & you & i are 3 days out with our due dates :-)
