Hello girls

Howzit going in this freezing weather? Loved the bit of snow we had in JHB yesterday.
My daughter enjoyed it so much & was running up & down & was full of laughs....

I never went for ante natal classes. Google was my friend , asked for advice from family & friends when needed & just read books as well. Palesa you can just go onto www.kalahari.net, select books, then select all books, where it shows browse, just select family & self, then click on parenting, it will give you nice ideas on what books are out there.

AFM, I've got so much on my plate......both hubby & I had a day off yesterday to go & look at nursery schools for my lg. She tagged along We both agreed on the 1st school we went into. They are a bit expensive but we are moving into randburg area where they do get a bit more pricey. I'm very happy with them & she will also do her Gr R there as they do way more than the primary schools Gr R classes & the teacher is really, really good. The baby section is just as lovely & smells so nice. I just got a bit of a shock what it's going to cost us for both children next year. I'm still trying to recover. Then I still need to deal with the move that needs to happen in the next 3 weeks & also still trying to figure out this whole UIF claiming thing as I've never had to claim before. Our company has never dealt with maternity uif things & they had to try & figure a few things out but my boss is prepared to pay 70% of my salary, he said he would've paid everything but he wants me to claim from UIF as we pay for it every month & it just goes to waste & I understand where he is coming from. He said what he'll do when I come back is that 30% UIF gives me for the 4 months, he will give back to me in bonus form.......how awesome is this boss!!! I can also take 4 months maternity leave. So, that is me for now.......

Hi KLK, yes team pink for us Unless we get a IG surprise with the 28 week or 4D scan next week But so far my gynae has checked quite thoroughly and he is very sure... Thinking of the name Jocelyn, or Jocelyn Aryana. But still lots of time for that!

babyzee please share the names of the book i do a lot of reading on the internet to prepare myself but as you say when push comes to shove it`s a different story. i was screaming at the top of my lungs with my boy all the guidance went out the wondow.

I took antenatal classes with my first and frankly it didn't help me much. All that they taught me evaporated as soon as labour kicked in. I tried all the position suggested but it did not help one bit. I ended up with a csec which is not as scary as people make it out to be the staff was very professional. And the hospital helps a lot to breastfeeding and how to bath and take care on your new born. I find hospitals help new mothers a lot. The thing that helped/s me a lot is books i have three that i read from time to time.
