Hi ladies!
Guess what.
I already popped.
Lily came too early.
We had to do emergenbcy CS for Lily bcoz last friday, May 9th, I hadn't felt her move for 5 hours. I knew it wasn't right siunce almost every hour, she moved like crazy. I had chocs and Milo, still, nothing. I was so anxious. I tried to poke my tummy, still, she wasnt responding.
Lily's fetal heart rate was 200-207 per minute. Too fast. After an hour of observation, her heart rate wasn't slowing down. So OB decided we need emergency CS to stabilize her. So be it. I heard her cry four times when doctor took her our of my tummy. What a relief. I just said, "Lord, thanks, she's alive. "
2.11 kg when she came out, 44cm length. She's got long arms and legs. I've been discharged last Tueday but baby's in the neonatal ICU but not on incubator. Just respirator for her. Heartbreaking seeing her with all the tubes. The pedia says maybe Saturday or Sunday, she can be taken home.
She's improved a lot, learning how to suck and she finishes her milk every feeding time. BTW, i express milk for her but not enough milk for now. They give him formula at the ICU to sustain her feeding, aside from the drip.
The midwife I'm consulting says that's because baby is premmie and I still have stresses of the early birth so i must not stress because breastfeeding will come just right. I'm using a breastpump just to stimulate production, just being patient about it. I do it every 3 or 4 hours so as if, baby's feeding on me regularly. it helps.
Hope everybody's fine. I'm attaching my baby pic here taken by her daddy the moment she was born.
