@Nix pleas give us details I am also looking for a cot and compactum we nearly bought one for R4000 and its second hand. I would love a white new one, we can even pay for postage to Johannesburg.

Sorry I have been so quiet, been busy and tired but been checking in to see how everyone is doing. Not much to report on my side, am officially half way today! A whole 20 weeks! Can't believe it's gone so fast...
Next scan is on Wednesday next week, can't wait as it will have been 7 weeks since the last one and so much has been happening in there.

Getting a cot and compactum this week If any of you who are in Cape Town are looking for cots or compactums, I found someone on Gumtree that is selling them for good prices. They are new, from a shop that closed. I have been to see them, there are sleigh cots in dark wood and white with matching compactums. Also standard cots and compactums in both. Let me know if you are interested. I'm paying less than R3000 for standard cot and small compactum.

Mother Niki, if you have stretch marks everywhere I am guessing that you are not a first time mom? Don't worry about your mom not sharing in your happiness, as I also have an issue with my mom... But luckily I have a fantastic mother in law - and I have adopted her as my own, so I at least get one happy and excited grandma that I can share things with and that is good enough for me....

So looks like I am officially the only one in here that was not able to find out what the gender of baby is going to be yet.... So typical! Hahahahaha....

On a positive note, a friend of mine gave birth naturally last week, in the same hospital where I will be birthing, and she is raving about the service and the staff, so that just puts my mind even more at ease

And some good news - well at least for me... I ordered me some maternity work pants online from Cherry Melon and they finally arrived, they are SOOOOOO comfy and the fact that the buttons doesn't want to wrip open is a definite plus I can definitely recommend buying from them.

congratulations mommy...so happy for you. cant wait to meet my lil one as well. im expecting a baby girl and she's the most active baby lol. I have 3 and this is my fourth baby. all the best mommy. what day are you due in February? im carrying a valentines baby.

i wish i could go out and get a swim suit but i've got stretch marks EVERYWHERE so you an imagine how shy i must be.

i'm so grateful for this forum becasue its space where i can come and just be excited about my pregnancy becasue i dont really get to be that way with my mom as she is going through her own personal issues. i don't post much but i am always checking in to see what's going on with everyone and i'm happy that all is going well with you ladies.

Regarding camping cots, I bought a cot on gumtree (regular one) so only have a cheaper camping cot for when we go out or away or something so cant really help on that. Just as a thought, maybe check the 'used' options on gumtree for regular cots as well, they really have great selections there, but if you are all set on getting a camping cot, I would say speak to a few friends who have them and see what their thoughts are. I always feel its best to get advice from people who have what you are thinking about.
