Hello Ladies, I was wondering, does anyone know about or have a preference for a particular camp cot brand? We are only going to buy a camp cot and not a proper one too, so I need one that is comfortable and will last the first two years.

I've seen quite a few under R1600 and it seems unnecessary to spend more than that. A friend who's expecting in Nov has bought the one below, but she hasn't used it yet and can't tell me if she'd recommend it.

I don't really need all the trimmings like a changing mat, music box etc, as long as the inner height is adjustable and it's comfortable when baby gets to the size/age where she'll sleep in the bottom (on a camp cot mattress). If it's got the trimmings and within that price range I won't complain either

@Stormy, congrats to you too! Your hubby will fall in love with your little girl and she will have him wrapped around her little finger in no time flat It really is true that little girls adore their daddy's and the daddy's thrive on that - you will be able to see his chest swell
My daughter is a real daddy's girl and when she looks at her dad and asks for something in an oh so sweet voice he melts. This morning she woke up and the first thing she said was that her daddy should build her a tree house, so tomorrow morning we are going to go look at wendy/play houses.

We have already decided on a name for our little boy and it is set in stone - hubby even announced it on facebook "accidentally"...

It is definitely not too soon to start sorting out baba's bedroom. Our cot is already setup (has been since we bought the house...) and the cupboards have been cleared. We are now looking at themes for his bedroom - I saw this really cute "Thomas the tank engine" bedding set at baby's r us but I'm still considering my options.

A friend told me to register my pregnancy at Dischem so I did that yesterday. The lady there told me that you need to spend something like R300 before you are 28 weeks pregnant and then you receive a diaper bag filled with goodies - so that is quite exciting.

So went to the gynea yesterday, he has told me to take Magnesium for my headaches, so will be going at the end of the month to stock up on all the right vitamins I know have to take, is previously I was just taking folic acid

We were told we are having a little girl!! Hubby was a bit down about it as he really wanted a boy, but its to late now, we cant change our order!!!

I am ecstatic! I know its early but has anyone come up with baby names yet?

Is it still to soon to start sorting out babies room???

I totally agree, the moms in here are easy to talk to. and you know us preggy mommies have a lot to talk about lols.

We are all just figuring things out as we go along and there is a nice supportive presence amongst the ladies here, just nice to chat to gals going through the same thing as you!!!
