Thank you so much MrsMom. I used to be on baby center and it felt so lonely there as most mommies are from USA and don't know what biltong is  . im glad to be here, the atmosphere is so relaxed, the USA people can be very rude at times. will try out the signature thing just now...

Thank you Ladies :)

I've scanned the websites you mentioned and could only find swimwear on pregalicious. It looks beautiful so I'll definitely keep that in mind. I think I'll drag my hubby and daughter through a couple of shops this weekend. There are only a few nice maternity shops in PTA East where I live but I'll try them before heading out to Joburg.

I must confess that I did in fact eat a bit of biltong in the weeks leading up to our 15 week appointment - the craving was just too great. Now at 19 weeks, I've not suffered any ill effects due to that. I'm just being overly cautious now as we really want this beautiful baby and I don't think I'll be able to handle another loss - especially due to something I was told not to do...

Hello JLK - thank you for bringing that up, I hadn't even thought of a swimming suite - eeek! I planned on spending a fair amount of time in the pool, but hadn't actually given the suite a thought. Had a look at Tummies Maternity wear online, has anyone ever ordered anything from them?
I've always been shy of my bum and would even wear board-shorts with a one piece, so will probably just do a bikini with board-shorts :)

@Stormy - really hope your gynea has advice for your headache :( Have you maybe tried weaning on de-caf till you can go off completely?

JLK - I've heard so much conflicting information... I've had 3 gyneas, the fetal specialist and my dietitian tell me I can eat sushi, as well as biltong and soft cheeses. The fetal specialist said she asked 20 gyneas at Groote Schuur who all said they are happy for their patients to eat sushi - within certain guidelines, and she ate sushi throughout both her pregnancies.
Apparently all SA cheeses are pasteurised and safe to eat, but admit I stay away from the moldy kinds even though I miss them like crazy. Luckily biltong has been one of my aversions.
