Hahahaha, and here I thought I was being ignored for asking the libido question as no one was getting back to me

@Bumblebee - I use to get eczema in some of those sensitive areas and after being prescribed extremely expensive creams... I finally gave up and bought a tube of Fissan Paste - and I must say that it worked wonders! And that is exactly why I will only be using Fissan Paste for my baby's bum. Maybe try that is all else fails....

Hahahaha, CarienM, then I will have take one for England !!!! Luckily my hubby is not pushy either, otherwise we would have had real problems before baby even arrives.

@Stormy, totally agree, its just a real effort to get the process started, especially due to the changing body and some areas being extremely sensitive. But totally worth it in the end.

I am finally 100% back to my training programme, which now also includes running to the bathroom and back every five minutes - great cardio work that But keeping active does do wonders for my mood, even if it is just taking the dogs for their usual 2.5km walk.

I will also be having a bowl of sweet treats on Tuesday morning early, just to make sure that baby is bouncy by 7:30! I am burning to find out if its a little boy or girl

Must say I have not started feeling baby move yet and that is another thing that I can not wait for...

@STK, we have decided that my mother in law will look after baby for the first couple of months, as I am not sure about leaving such a tiny person with people that I do not know, especially when they are still so tiny and helpless, obviously if I had not choice I would also start looking into schools before the end of the year, but luckily my mother in law is such a lovely person who will be more than willing to assist. But as soon as it is summer next year we will start looking for a preschool for baby. Received some great recommendations from friends and colleagues on Afrikaans preschools in our area, so I will start doing my investigations in the winter of 2016, including a surprise visit etc etc. But I never realised that preschools are that expensive, in the area I stay in it costs between R2500 and R4000 per month!

Everyone's bump pics looks so cute. I must say I only have a handful of pants that actually still button up.... sigh - the joys of pregnancy.

But to contribute to the libido topic - I've had the most random dreams about doing the deed, and for some odd reason it feels great now than before I was pregnant - and I'm loving it

We are hopefully finding out on Monday what our little bean is. @Bumblebee - thanks for the 15mins before eat something sweet tip. I'll definitely be eating something sweet/sugary before to ensure baba is active - last time baba was not moving a lot and doctor gave me jelly beans to eat - but it didnt have that effect quite that quick - duh...lol

Has anyone started looking for pre-schools. We are visiting our first next Tuesday - hopefully we like it - the school has live camera feeds, where the parent can login during the day and see how things are going. Which we thought was pretty nice.

I am so glad the topic of libido came up, I was just chatting to my friend about it yesterday. I have the most erotic dreams and I have thoughts all day, but to actually do the deed seems like such a mission, with all the weird aches and bumps. But honestly once the deed is being done I scold myself because it was all so worth it.

I can not wait for next week Tuesday to finally and hopefully find out what Bean is.

Please keep posting, its so interesting and awesome to know I am not feeling the way I am feeling alone.

I must say this last week I have tried to go for a walk around the block which isn't even a km but I am so out of breath and sore afterwards. Been having constant feelings of a very heavy uterus, that feeling you get during your period. luckily I only seem to have it for one day though

Morning ladies, hope everyone is well. I've been a little quiet lately, been dealing with some personal stuff, but I think I am getting a bit better now. I have been keeping up with everyone, seems everyone is doing well.

I have to agree with you ladies about the libido, was the same with my first pregnancy, and I wish I could say it goes back to normal after baby, but in all honesty, yes it was not as bad as during my pregnancy, but it was not what it was before I got pregnant, same with this pregnancy. Something someone (who has 7 kids!!) told me is sometimes you just have to take one for England, and I get that, shame the hubbies I think can feel neglected b/c we get so much attention during pregnancy. My husband is not pushy at all, but I just feel so bad not wanting to. Anyway, so I try to 'take one for England' at least once a week.

Hello BabyT, I completely missed your post somehow!
So glad you brought up libidos (or lack thereof...) I've been struggling with this since becoming pregnant. Baby making was a fair bit of fun, but I'll admit I've had no interest since then. I've had some hectic erotic dreams though I bunch of moms I know have all assured me this is normal and they had the same - something to do with higher levels of Progesterone?? Can't say that it's done anything for my libido though.

By week 9 I thought I had an infection because I've been suffering with hectic dermatitis in some very sensitive areas, and mentioned this to my doc, but he couldn't see anything wrong. He just recommended washing with aqueous cream and only patting, not wiping when peeing 100 times a day.
The past couple of weeks though I've realised that I'm a little leaky and think I've effectively got nappy rash I't unbelievably painful, especially when sitting and I sit in an office all day... Will chat to my doc about it on Monday when we go for our next scan. A couple mommy friends have also mentioned that they struggled with bladder control throughout pregnancy, has anyone else had any issues?
The dermatitis obviously hasn't helped with intimacy either.

BabyT, doc will def be able to tell you the gender at your next scan! I'll be 17w4d on Monday and going to have a sweet yogurt or something 15min before I see the doc to make sure baby is awake - I've noticed flutters every time I've eaten something, especially if it's sweet. So hopefully we both have some news to share next week!!

Must say I am also a little apprehensive when the whole cloth nappy thing, especially in terms pf the logistics of the whole process

So when is all your next appointments? Mine is on Tuesday the 15th, then I will be 17weeks and I am really hoping that we can find out if we are expecting blue or pink... What do you ladies think the chances of finding out then is???

We decided not to buy all the baby goods brand new, you get really awesome basically brand new second hand stuff at a fraction of the price, plus since we have announced the pregnancy people are just bring us stuff non stop.... This baby is already spoilt and its not even born yet, hehehe

Ladies can I ask something..... Now that we are in the second trimester - how is the libido's? It was tough is the first trimester, but I thought that somehow it will magically change in this trimester but it hasn't yet changed drastically at all. And though hubby is very understanding, I dont want him to feel anything less than the love of my life - if you understand what I am saying....

Will take a pic tomorrow when I'm not in pajamas Must admit my bump feels huge - probably especially because it's hard and round vs soft and squishy as usual.

I always said I'd do cloth nappies, because I especially hate the thought of throwing disposables on the rubbish where they don't biodegrade. But we've stocked up a little on disposables and I'm scared to use cloth to be honest - ignorance. Will read up a little on their use.

I've gained 5kgs of which 4 were in the first 6 weeks and the last 1kg in the past 2 weeks, so not too concerned about my weight .
@nix, I was also eating low carb for the past year and a half and a little sad I can't do it anymore as my energy levels were much better, but then, I get to eat whatever I want/crave right now which is not such a bad thing - will take it as one of the perks of pregnancy
Luckily I still have an aversion to sugar from my low carb days and haven't gone too overboard.
That said I wore my first tight top and walked through Canal Walk munching on cinnamon doughnuts this weekend - watch out, preggie lady on sugar moving through Going to take some getting used to having people stare at your tummy in passing!
