@Baby T- Yes it does happen, apparently. It has happened to me twice with this pregnancy. At 10 weeks then again at 13 weeks, I am now 27 weeks and we are doing fine. I can imagine the panic and stress it caused you, but its always such a relief to see the little strong heartbeat, or baby moving around. Please take it easy, and you will be ok. bedrest bedrest bedrest

The doctor said that due to the rapid growth of the uterus, it sometimes happen that a amount of blood that pools in the uterus, and our bodies are made to expel anything that it doesn't need, so my body wanted to get rid of the blood...

Apparently it is not that rare... But when it happens your mind automatically thinks worst case scenario.

Just thought I would share so that should it happen to anyone else you don't freak out completely

I am so glad to hear that you and baby are doing good. My heart started beating so fast as I was reading your message about blood . Baby looks so rested like he is saying " Keep Calm Mommy".

What did the doctor say caused the bleeding?

@BabyT - can only imagine how you felt, its great news that your little bean is fine, take it easy for a few days, hopefully you will not have any repeat episodes.

Welcome @Ndoni, that is very jelousy inducing that you didnt have any morning sickness, I had it badly! I also got out of breath with my first baby and this time seems pretty much the same, so I think its normal.

Hi Ladies

I am 15 weeks pregnant and due on the 17th of Feb.
My family hopes it is a Valentine's baby. lol

If I may ask, is it normal to be out of breathe more often?
I was privileged enough not to have any morning sickness or heartburn during my first trimester, however I have noticed that I cant take a walk without losing my breathe more than once.

Last night I experienced the most horrible thing I think any pregnant lady can go though....

I suddenly felt like I was weeing, went to the bathroom and it was just blood, so hubby and I raced to the emergency room and I must say I was so impressed with Netcare Krugersdorp, they were fantastic, my gynae came in to examine me.

I have never been so stressed in my life and the wait nearly killed me, but on the ultra sound the baby was doing just fine, sucking its thumb, bouncing around and a heart beat that is nice and strong.

I just burst into tears of happiness.

Baba is fine and I have been booked off for the rest of the week to rest but all is going to be just fine

I'm looking at pregnant ladies in a whole different way now.

All the little things I hadn't heard or thought of about pregnancy, like the fact that I have near constant aches and pains in my hips and stomach area as everything stretches and moves upwards.
That my stomach itches randomly as the skin is stretching - itchy!! (even after applying oil in the morning)
Strange random nipple/breast pains and tingles. And that sneezing and coughing has become a new challenge *ouch*

And then the few I did know about, but didn't think much of - my work day is 9 hours long and I have to pee for every single one of them! And the crazy scary dreams I've been having the past couple of weeks.

Apart from the morning sickness I honestly thought the peeing a lot and aches and pains would only come round later as I got bigger. So you learn
