2015/2016 Pregnancy

Hi guys! I am about 11 weeks now, due in May with baby no. 2! (Baby number 1 is almost 2 1/2)
I honestly thought it would be so "awesome" to be pregnant again....but I am so seriously TIRED all the time. And of course, at night I can't fall asleep - especially after I wake up for that midnight toilet run, I get back in bed and just lie there waiting for morning
This is so much harder with a toddler at home as well

But, we are super excited and at least I can take afternoon naps, which really help

@ MommywannaB, you gotta ask the dr about the nose bleeds, at least we hvnt been hit too badly with the heat in CT.
I waited till it was only the 2 of us at the office. When I old him i need to chat to him about something. He looked at me and asked: "Are you pregnant?" so it was quite cool. he did ask if I am planning to take as long a maternity leave as the last time. (I took 11 months off the 1st time!!)

The baby expo-they have alot of specials on travel systems, etc. and look at a baby monitor as well. i personally wouldnt buy nappies and creams, etc so early on. Its also just nice to go and see what is out there.
I have a friend, who is about 6 months preg, and she went all out, bought toms of stuff as she thought they were on special, etc. When I bumped into her, I had to almost force her to leave! They even a play gym, which we were planning on buying for them as a gift

I will def get more sports bras. does anyone's boobs itch alot?!

@ Babydreaming88, I come from a family of doctors, so I understand that as much as they wish to be always available for their patients, they also need to take a break once in a while. But that's why they have stand-in dr's, etc.
But speak to her about it, dont get pushed into an induction out of convenience.
Is it common for the nose bleeds?

Dont be nervous about the scans, be positive

Babydreaming88 - Aawh it's so cute I love the name. I just love the 4d Scans you see so much more than the normal scans. I cannot wait for my 34 week scan. I don't know a lot about labor or induction but form what I have heard and reading up on it (as I was considering it) I am not toooo happy with the cons.

Maj - I am so glad the scan went well and that baby is doing well. Talking about sinuses I am struggling with nose bleeds and the heat is also not helping. How was her reaction to the news? If the companies could choose they would never let us get pregnant lol. The sports bras also works, the ones from Mr Price sport with the thick material is nice.

How was the expo? Is it worth going?

AFM - I am seeing the new gynie on Thursday, I am a bit nervous, I am 20w1D. I am tired everyday and eating like a beast. I am also getting very big now. My boss even said to me I am getting bigger by the day hahahah.

@Maj - my due date is 02 Jan but the last couple of scan show my due date to be 5 Jan. She said to me she's working the whole of Dec and she would like a break beginning January, now that to me is wrong, this is her job so that excuse alone isn't good enough for us. I said to my hubby if her attitude changes towards us after I said no then I would like to go to Genesis. She has always been great but this suggestion peed me off a bit. If it was for medical reasons I would do it in a heart beat. I believe our little guy will come when he s ready and on his own time not on her time. Look we will see what happens next week, hopefully she's accept and understand.

Wow, reflux.... pregnancy can cause strange things hey. I had nosebleeds 1st trimester and now in my 3rd it's stared again. I've been wearing sportsbra's from the beginning of my pregnancy, much more comfortable. Do you work for a big company? What did you manager say?

Hi Babydreaming, glad you enjoying the antenatal classes. I think we underestimate them. The dads usually have big breakthroughs (or freak out even more! )

I am also against the early induction. My gynea suggested it to me with the 1st one, as the long weekend was approaching, and hubby and I were in different cities, luckily we did not have to. but following that appointment, I said i would tell her "no" at the next 1 (two days later). my daughter was born before the next appointment!
I suggest discuss it with her. If she is going on holiday, weigh it up, which are you more against-a diff gynea there for the birth or the induction?

AFM, i had my 12.5 week scan yesterday. All is well. all the measurements were good. Baby is measuring a few days ahead, but had the same thing with my daughter.
The dr said it sounds like I have reflux, thus the nausea and heartburn is still hanging around. I though only babies had reflux?!!
My sinuses are driving me insane! the dr did give me an ok to use an antihistamine, but I forgot to take it last night if I take it now, i will be even more tired than usual!
I told my manager that I am pregnant yesterday, now wondering how i can casually mention it to everyone else!

I still havent gotten around to bra shopping even though i went to the baby expo!
But I am wearing a sports bra today, and i feels so much better.

Hello ladies

Wow, its been a while. How are all the pregnant fairies doing?

Okay so just an update on us, we started our antenatal classes 2 weeks ago, tonight is our 3rd class. Really is worth going to, my hubby understands so much more now and I feel more empower to have a normal birth. I'm not scared of labour as I kinda "know" what's gonna happen and what I can expect. So yes, looking forward to the big day.

Out little guy's name is Damian, yes we announced it finally. LOL! We went for our 4D scan as well and a tour of the maternity ward. That was so awesome! I'm really happy with the maternity ward. Damian was a bit shy with the 4D scan but we got some cute pics, best one was when he crabbed the cord and started sucking on it. He looks so cute and we cant wait to meet him!

Gynae is happy with him but she want to induce labour during Dec, my due date is 1st week in January. I'm not very happy with this as its not for any medical reasons. I've done some research on early induction and I'm not happy with the results. So we're seeing her again next week and I will tell her we are not going for the induction, hopefully she will be okay with our decision.
