Yeah I said to her people always buy new born and you end up not using 50% of the clothes.

Oh no I will only use them if baby cannot wear nappies hehehe. It's hard work and a lot of washing.

I like the idea about putting on there the age group for the baby shower!
And def agree about putting the money away for the nappies rather than stocking up. I changed brands and types so often! Im actually thinking of using the non0-disposable nappies this time around! i dont know if im just making life harder for myself!

A friend told me she bought the fetal heart monitor, I made her return it the next day!
I would recommend spending money on a decent ranged baby monitor, my daughter ended up sleeping in our room, so we ddnt need the motion sensor, and only used the monitor when we were out of the room.
The other thing I recommend you spend the money on is a electric breast pump, for breastfeeding, working mums.
Dont buy all those baby food making gadgets, as long as you have a decent stick blender, you will be good!

I buy the basics and put money away for nappies, I said to my sister in law that when she sends out the baby shower invites she should put on there gifts 0-3 months or 3-6 months that way you don't get to much new born and 0-3 months,

All the gadgets and stuff is a waste of money you don't use them. I got a angelcare fetal heart monitor and it's been used 3 times. Only thing I will pay for is the monitor for the cot and that's it. I even said to my mom to not buy the bottle warmer for me its a waste to others its the best,

And it is hard not to buy the sexy little jeans and shoes etc

I think I need to go get special bra's fitted/made. About how much did they charge for them?

I still have not bought anything for the baby! not even any clothes. Having difficulty finding anything unisex. But then again, I hardly go to any stores besides to buy groceries!
From previous experience, dont buy too much, you will get gifts, and with clothes always keep in mind season (and fashion) changes, etc. I think the big items should be bought first. But I also know how difficult it is not to buy things, especially when they are soooo cute!
Also be aware of the "gadgets" available. Most of the time you dont need them. Like nappy bins, fetal heart rate monitors, expensive baby monitors, bath thermometers, etc

@MommyWannaB, my MIL is also OCD. She had bought more stuff for me when i was 7 months pregnant than I had! I had to buy almost nothing. (I am the complete opposite-very go with the flow)
Thus hubby wants o find out what baby we are having, as he knows MIL will want to stock up!!

I was told to wait as well, but I can't. I don't know when my shower will be so I don't want to go rushing to the shops when I am all fat to get things I don't have.

I suffer from OCD so things should be in order asap I cannot wait I get anxiety

i got tempted then take it back to the shelves but december i m might starting something will wait the babyshower

Hi nunuza, I am very bad I buy something every time I go to the shops. I try not to buy to much products, I know I will get a lot at my baby shower.
