VBAC help or research

hi ladies im also contemplatin a vbac, doc says wil wait til later,im only 13 weeks. if u dont mind me askin wats da cost of the book coz im in natal n if do decide on vbac id like to read it. thanks

Nefertiti- I will be 35 weeks by then, I don't think I will be able to fly and 6 hours in a car will do me no good either due to the extreme swelling I have developed. So unfortunatly I will have to read the book and get what I can from that.

Could you get to the Jo'Burg course on the 5th and 6th June?
Reading the book will certainly help but with the course you have the additional benefit of the hypnotherapy and help with techniques.

Thank you Nefertiti, I think most of my original decision to go with another c-sec was because I was afraid of feeling out of control. I have done a little reading on the hypnobirth topic and know that this book will really help. Such a pity we are not in CT to be able to attend one of your courses.
DH is also looking forward to reading the book.

HypnoBirthing is so much more than just the birth itself, for a lot of women it is often the first time in their lives they truly learn to relax, listen to, and work with their body. It is also an incredible way to bond with your baby before birth.

Remaining in control is a huge part of the principle, that, and staying calm. Sometimes situations arrise that are beyond your control, but by staying calm and understanding what is going on around you, asking the right questions and feeling trust, whatever turn the birthing takes the mom remains in control of it.

I have ordered and paid for my Hypnobirthing book and CD. Can't wait to get stuck into it!!!!

I know this must sound strange/ selfish but the one thing that I had to get over when deciding on a VBAC was that I could not control when she will arrive. For me the safety in a c-section was being able to set the date and plan around that. You see I am a control freak. So the pain of natural labour was not what scared me it was more feeling like I was no longer in control. But I realised when I climbed in the shower this morning that I have gotten past that now.
